tranquility at its best

Nice resort, way of transportation internally could be with electrical trolleys instead of old-fashioned ones, if anyhow possible to install batteries in them to keep old charm

Disappointed

We were not impressed with customer service at all. Our previous stay we absolutely loved the comfortable bed. Not so much this time. We had to wait two hours for bedding for the pull out couch after calling twice. We will not be returning.

Right on the beach

Location: You could park your car and not leave for a week. Walk to everything and right on the beach.
Loved it! Will stay here again. Close to everything.

Not Beach Front

This unit was advertised as a "beach Front" unit and it was not.... we couldn't even see the beach, and just a very small ocean view. There is quite a walk to the beach. Not happy about that. Once at the beach, it was beautiful though.

We have to call for clean towels daily. Fridge was not working the 1 st day. No power the last night. Fireworks were not on the 4th but on the 30th reaort fee was too much for the amenities .. just a pool there is. It much else 152 a day plus 330 a day way too expensive

Great location but extremely filthy room

The only thing this hotel has going for it is the location and the sunsets. This is the second time I have stayed there having hoped that the hotel we clean the rooms improve the quality of the linnen and overall improved the general upkeep. Starting with a incredibly long line to get in there during off-season and finding a hot and I'm clean room left me wondering why I made a mistake I'll begin paying close to $400 a night for a sunset. I am a medical doctor and the condition of the floors kitchen and curtains left me concerned for my own health One year ago they conditions were the same and after a long discussion with the hotel management I was convinced that they have made improvements obviously not the case I think two times shame on me do not plan to return to this location unless the hotel is purchased by Marriott or some other reputable hotel chain

Excellent family vacation experience

Great for families. Room with full kitchens and large balconies, self-serve barbecue areas, self-serve laundry and easy parking. Not luxurious rooms but comfortable and clean. Many pool choices including fantastic large shallow kids pool & pool with waterslides. Very kid friendly beach with water sport rentals on the beach (SUP, kayak etc) and lots of shells to collect. Easy access to beach chairs at pool/Beach throughout the day and friendly attentive staff. The resort was fully booked but never felt too crowded and always found great spots on the beach or at the pools.We saw manatees in the resort harbour several times and dolphins from the shoreline. We stayed at the tennis villas which are a short 5--10 min trolley ride from the main pool and beach area however there was a small pool right beside our room as well. I would recommend renting a golf cart to travel around the resort, though the trolley is still convenient. A room closer to the main pool might be nice next time but an advantage of the tennis villas is proximity to the Captiva village nearby - great for dinner at Mucky Duck's right on the beach or Doc Ford's with nightly live music. Overall a wonderful family experience of Shell collecting, Beach and pool all day, dinner with live music each night, lots of wildlife and sunset on one of the beaches every night! All amenities nearby. Also great staff who put on a fun July 4 celebration & games for the kids along with fireworks. Highly recommend
