Nice hotel close to Sorrento

Posted Nov 12, 2017
Pros: Excellent staff, very friendly and courteous
A great hotel, in a quite suburb of Sorrento. Very friendly and courteous staff. We were on holiday with our baby and were made to feel very welcome. The hotel provides a shuttle bus into Sorrento at various times throughout the day (5 minute journey) which was extremely useful and saved us a lot of money on taxis which can be very expensive in this area. We stayed in a classic triple room which was clean and well presented. However we did find the room to be on the small side for a family (2 adults and a toddler). With a cot in the room there is very little space to move around. It would have been a great size for a just a couple. Families with one or more children should probably go for a larger sized room. Lovely pool area, and the poolside restaurant was excellent. Breakfast was on the 5th floor, with a great view out onto the bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius. The food was ample with a good amount of variety and very tasty pastries! We did not try the main restaurant for dinner. The location is great for exploring both Sorrento and the rest of the Amalfi Coast. Overall a great hotel which we would highly recommend.

Beautiful location, excellent hotel

Posted Nov 5, 2017
Pros: -Great breakfast, including fresh orange juice you could squeeze yourself -Super friendly and helpful staff -Excellent location to tour Amalfi Coast
Location: -Bar across the street from hotel has a perfect view of the coast, with outdoor tables. Worth stopping for a sunset cocktail.
Excellent hotel near Sorrento, with fantastic views over Mediterranean from Naples to Sorrento. Stylish yet welcoming, with very helpful staff, great breakfast (with a fantastic view), rooftop bar, big pool and beach access. A fantastic base for our Amalfi coast trip, hotel offers their own excursions, and can connect you with drivers so you can create your own. Complimentary bus shuttle runs from hotel to Sorrento and back on regular schedule, and trains, buses, ferries are all available in the town. Our corner room had windows on two sides offering a view of the Mediterranean towards Sorrento, and over the town of Sant'Agnello. Quiet and very comfortable hotel (at least when we were there in October), room was simple but fine, and the window in the bathroom looking out over the water was lovely.

Pros: The room was very comfortable, the view was great, and the customer service was exceptional.
Cons: Keep up the good work.
Location: It is right outside of Sorrento, and the hotel shuttle takes you right into town.
Beautiful hotel right on the water but what truly makes it outstanding is the great customer service of the entire staff. The food was exceptional as well. I would definitely go back.

Stylish hotel just outside Sorrento

Posted Oct 15, 2017
Pros: - Quiet- no children or chavs - Modern decor - Friendly staff - Rooftop bar at sunset - Free shuttle into Sorrento
Location: Hotel is in Sant' Angello, a quiet suburb of Sorrento, but there is a train station that takes you into Sorrento or Naples Airport.
Hotel is nicely decorated in a modern Mediterranean style with blues and whites, so if you're looking for a traditional Italian place, this isn't for you. Highlight of this hotel is the Vista Sky Rooftop bar- 100% recommend booking a table for one of the nights that you're there and research when sunset is so you can be up there at the right time! The view is spectacular with live music being played which really sets the mood perfectly. Cocktails and canipes are served throughout the night, and you get to keep your table for the whole time. Cocktail prices are 18 euros on average- so depending on your budget you may only want one. It has 1 outdoor pool and a hot tub with plenty of sun loungers and beds- but be warned the pool is ice cold! They also serve lunch at the pool bar/restaurant between the hours of 12 and 2.30pm- very handy if you're spending the day relaxing by the pool. Dinner and breakfast are both served in the 4th floor restaurant with beautiful views overlooking the sea and coastline. Great selection at breakfast including pastries, cereals, yogurts, fruit, cold meats and hot food; you can also indulge with a glass of Prosecco. The hotel also has a free mini bus into Sorrento, so it's not too much of a problem that you're not located in the center of Sorrento- especially as it's a lot quieter. Every single member of staff are friendly and accommodating. I recommend this hotel to couples, families with older children or anyone looking for someone to relax.

Great hotel and staff with spectacular views of the Bay of Naples. Close to port in Sorrento with free shuttle bus, where you can catch ferry to Capri or Amalfi coast. Easy drive to the Amalfi coast also. Excellent restaurant and roof-top bar (not open every night so check schedule). Spacious and nice pool area with very friendly and accommodating bar staff.

Luxury, cleanliness, an amazing top notch modern hotel in Sorrento. The location is not ideal, however, they have shuttle service into Sorrento regularly. The Sky Bar in the evening was AMAZING!!! What a great experience - very elegant and clean.

Hotel Mediterraneo is PERFECT for a special vacay!

Pros: Everything!
Cons: New mattress.
Location: See above.
The staff were all very accommodating. The Sky Bar is absolutely beautiful to watch the Italian sunset over Vesuvius. We were in walking distance to Sorrento and the train, and had a shuttle option. The pool is beautiful and the happy hour drinks and spread is even better. There is a lift down to the sea to hang out on the beach and there are a few local restaurants right around the corner that have been around for years and provide great service. The hotel's breakfast is included and also fabulous. This hotel is a gem on the Sorrento Coast and made our experience relaxing and wonderful for our 10th Anniversary trip and first time away from the kids. I highly recommend this hotel and would stay again.

Absolutely beautiful hotel on the sea

Pros: Get a room with a view! It's positively amazing. Breakfast was a treat with spectacular balcony or window seating.
Cons: Nothing. All good.
Location: Sant' Agnello is 5-minutes close to Sorrento and there is a free shuttle. Restaurants, seafood, limoncello, shopping. boat trips to Capri, etc.
Absolutely wonderful 1-week stay at the Hotel Mediterraneo! The staff is amazing. They entertain with nightly parties and attend to your every need during the day. Felt like friends opening their villa to share with you! Want to return again and again.
