We booked this hotel on Expedia as a stopover on the way back from Greece, not knowing what to expect. However this is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The hotel is about 15 years old and modern from the outside but the decor inside is traditional and very tasteful. The hotel is off the main track, outside the town but very well signposted.
We arrived mid afternoon and asked where we could get some lunch we were offered a choice of sandwich and one was freshly made and served in the beautiful garden. My husband wanted to visit the Military Cemetery and the son of the owner could not have been more helpful, providing maps and information.
The dinner was the best Italian meal I have ever eaten, with very delicate flavours. We had minestrone soup which was made from scratch using fresh vegetables and full of flavour.
We only stayed one night but wished we had booked for longer. Unfortunately we had already booked our next hotel. We definitely intend to return for longer.
The owner's son and daughter do not speak brilliant English but both tried their hardest to converse with us, and also to learn more English.
I really cannot fault this hotel.
