Great location! Central to everything in OC.

Under construction. The La Quinta in Santa Ana was under construction when we stayed there. A good hotel in a great location, but there were construction vehicles and equipment everywhere, with half the hotel occupied by workers. I understand that hotels go through renovation occasionally, but it was really a mess. I know hotels don't want to turn away business, but had I known I would have stayed at a different property. I recommend this hotel, but it would be nice to know in advance. When I drove up to check it and saw the mess it was too late to cancel and rebook somewhere else.

The hotel was very old but it's going through renovations. Staff was very nice n courteous.

Everyone was very friendly the room was perfect for my stay. We went out a lot but the room was also so cozy that we stayed in one day as well. I would recommend to all my friends and family. Thank you for an amazing stay.

Nice place to lay your head down

Pros: Best part was the kitchenette area with a coffee maker (free, good quality coffee), a mini sink and fridge, and a microwave. Also the free parking.
Cons: Pillows on the bed were hard. Coffee at continental breakfast.
Location: The restaurants near by are pretty much just fast food, but I found a Walmart within driving distance. Central to major freeways, near airport.
I needed a place to stay for 2 nights near UC Irvine. The hotel is max 10 mins driving distance, which was perfect. The room (single/king) was just great. The bed was comfortable with nice linens (pillows could use more variety), the bathroom small, but had great counter space. The room had a good desk and chair, a sitting area and tv. Best part was the kitchenette area with a coffee maker (free, good quality coffee), a mini sink and fridge, and a microwave. I was out early and back late, so this was very handy. I didn't get a chance to try the continental breakfast because I was rushed, but the coffee there could have been better. The restaurants near by are pretty much just fast food, but I found a Walmart within driving distance. So the breakdown: this isn't a place I would stay for the area, which is basically all hotels and commercial spaces close to an airport, but it is very convenient if you need a clean, quiet place (amazing since they are remodeling part of the hotel) to rest your head, and it is central in that it is near major freeways. I enjoyed my stay and was very pleased with the amenities. Oh, and parking was free with plenty of spaces!

Worse than best western plus

Pros: Second room was a lot better, It had been remodeled
Cons: Rooms can be a lot cleaner.
Location: close to freeway, beach, and mall
Very dirty, I was given the worse room in the hotel The sofa bed was very dirty, it has a ball hair. I went to the from desk to request a diff room. they had none available for the first night. I was transferred to room the second.

My family loves this hotel!

My family stayed in the hotel during a water polo tournament what I travel to a different location. I immediately started receiving calls about how wonderful the accommodations were. With 2 kids and an adult in a room sometimes you can be crowded on top of each other but apparently the room was very spacious. They told me there would have been enough room for me there too . They love surrounding grounds and the easy accessibility to other attractions and the beach. They were so excited about it they made me promise that we can go back there for a weekend just to stay in the hotel and enjoy.
