Great Find In Santa Barbara

Location: We walked to the boardwalk and also walked to our day spa at the Evolution Medical Spa.
My sister and I rented a king bed suite with sofa bed for a sister's getaway and couldn't have been more pleased at our choice. What a great find! From the warm welcome to the cheese and wine reception to the nice breakfast offerings. And the complementary bottle of champagne was a sweet touch. This place was perfect for us. The room was great....like a small one bedroom apartment. The beach and town were just a few minutes walk away. It's not new and modern...but for me that's a good thing. A special shout out to Melissa, who helped us in so many ways and suggested a few movies from their massive DVD collection. Thanks Brisas Del Mar!

Great Hotel in a good location

As a VIP member we were upgraded to a very roomy suite. The hotel had complimentary use of bikes as well as a wine and cheese session daily. The staff was very friendly and helped direct us to hiking trails in the area.

Perfect location for walking Santa Barbara

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Cookies and wine each night? Who can ask for more! It was a short walk to the main strip of restaurants and shops and an even shorter trip to the beach and pier. Would definitely stay again.

A home away from home

Loved this place. We had a suite with a full kitchen, a living room and a spacious bedroom. Staff couldn't have been nicer. A chilled bottle of champagne was awaiting us upon arrival. There was a small pool area with a jacuzzi and bikes for loan. Conveniently located just a few blocks from the beach. I would definitely return.

Excellent service, convenient location

Pros: Convenience, lovely exterior seating areas, friendly staff, comfortable bed!
Cons: Better breakfast selection, regular coffee in rooms.
Location: Beach, State Street: shopping, restaurants, etc. Also walking distance 5 min from Santa Barbara City College. Bikes available, though we didn't use
The first thing Id like to highlight is the excellent service. Staff were attentive without being overbearing. The common areas are lovely and the wine and cheese, cookies (though we didn't indulge) and light breakfast offerings were all nice touches. I'd gotten the room at a drastically discounted rate, using some of my points to pay. But, at the full cost, I think that I'd have been slightly disappointed The hotel rooms themselves don't live up to the same images portrayed in the listing in that they are in essence 50's style suites with kitchenettes. I fully understand that there is only so much one can do in the way of décor to update such a space; but the dated kitchen cabinets, very tight kitchen space, etc could be changed to reflect what one expects of a hotel of this price range. The staff were incredibly kind, courteous and professional. The location is brilliant. Only a few steps from the beach and easy walking distance to the heart of State Street. The one thing I found odd was that the coffee for the Keurig was 2 different types of decaf. Since there was free coffee in the lobby, we simply stopped in to have some there instead. It would have been nice to be able to sip a cup while getting ready in our room. Finally, breakfast was all carb heavy, with the exception of packaged boiled eggs. Over all, a very nice stay. I only nitpicked the details in the hope that it would be beneficial to the management and anyone on the fence.

Had a great stay at the Brisas!

The Brisas is in close proximity/walking distance to an array of Santa Barbra activities. Sam at the front desk was very knowledgeable of great restaurants, as well as The Funk Zone Area. He also upgraded our room to one of the best suites in the entire hotel. I will definitely stay here again!!!!

Not what we were expecting

This is a Motel. It's like a mildly upgraded Motel 6. Staff is super friendly, but the facility is in bad need of a complete update. We were in the best room and it was still in bad need of modernization. Breakfast is truly continental and workout facilities are really non-existent. Spend the money and stay somewhere else.

Nice Hotel close to Harbor

Pros: Little extras and friendly staff and nice room
Location: Walking distance to the Harbor for dinner. Easy on and off from the 101
We were welcomed by Frank at the front desk at 4. Friendly and welcoming. Complementary wine and cheese from 4:30 to 6. Room was great with welcoming bottle of Champagne. After dinner at the Harbor Came back to warm cookies in the lobby. Comfortable bed and good night sleep. Continental breakfast in the lobby in the morning. Very pleasant stay.
