Very nice staff and a lot of room

Posted Jan 8, 2018
I would have given this hotel an excellent review all around but at 4am the smoke detector low battery was beeping in the bedroom. Drove me crazy. Every 15 minutes it would be once every 30-60 seconds, let me fall asleep again and then beep and repeat. Other than that, very happy. The man who checked me in was super kind and we loved the room. Not modern but definitely comfy with lots of tv channels.

Oh My Goodness. The last thing you want to experience during a hotel stay is the chirping of a smoke alarm. I am terribly sorry this occurred. Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We will be sure to change out the batteries in other guestrooms so no one else will have this experience. Please accept our sincerest apologies. Respectfully ~ Greg Broussard, General Manager

Better than we could ever ask for

Posted Jan 8, 2018
We only stayed for one night as Santa Barbara was just a pit stop but honestly, this hotel made our stay in Santa Barbara. The staff is the reason we will come back to Santa Barbara for a lengthy vacation. They were SO welcoming, accommodating, and caring. They have a huge book of DVDs to watch in your room, tea/coffee/water available anytime, and we were greeted with a champagne toast (a whole bottle!!!). It’s the little things. Rooms/whole property was very clean and well kept. We grabbed bikes (free of charge) and headed two blocks to the beach- it was a perfect morning. I will absolutely be back and would highly recommend this place!!

Overpriced hotel

Posted Jan 6, 2018
Title of the hotel is misleading, it is not at the beach. The hotel lack in amenities seriously. The breakfast was of very poor quality. Overall it was not a good value for the money.

Absolutely loved Santa Barbara

Posted Dec 29, 2017
My husband and our two young adult children visited for Christmas. We were upgraded to a king suite with a queen pull out sofa in the living room. There were plenty of room for all of us. The bedroom was spacious, the living room was comfortable. The kitchen was small but functional. A complementary bottle of champagne was in the fridge. We cooked dinner nightly. Breakfast was served free daily in the lounge. The wine and cheese in the evening with the warm baked cookies and milk was and added touch. The hotel was conveniently located and within walking distance to the beach and downtown shopping. We rode bikes (free at the hotel) in the afternoon and took morning walks to the pier. I believe the pool is heated and there is a hot tub. Great time. Will definitely be back.

Go for the jr. Suite

Posted Dec 27, 2017
The regular rooms are fine, but the king suite we were first given was less than exciting. The kitchen was very small and outdated. We were fortunate enough to be upgraded to the jr suite which is amazing. It was Christmas and it set such a nice away from home experience. Fireplace, room enough for the family to open gifts, open and updated kitchen, patio. Regardless of the room, the staff and their amenities always make it worth it: complimentary wine, cheese, and crackers, fresh baked cookies, chilled champagne in the room, free and current DVDs, and bikes. The staff are welcoming and go above and beyond. They all seem to truly enjoy their jobs! The bike riding was the icing on the cake!

Charming hotel convenient to downtown and beach

Posted Dec 5, 2017
Pros: Nice amenities, comfort and cleanliness
Cons: No suggestions
Location: About a 10 minute walk to State St. with good choices for food and shopping ..also the beach
Our suite was spacious with living room and kitchen separate from the bedroom and bath. Very clean and comfortable.... nice outdoor sitting area and heated pool. Lobby was pleasant with welcoming fireplace, games books and DVD’s available. Coffee and tea available all day plus special treats, wine and cheese at 4:30 and cookies and milk in evening...hot cider was being served when we arrived..we watched the sunset through the palm trees from the hotel’s upper balcony.

They seemed to go the extra mile on everything. They made us feel very comfortable. We spent a lot of time by the cosy fire in the reception area.

Comfortable, nice hotel close to beach and harbor

Posted Dec 4, 2017
Pros: It was roomy for my family of 4 . It was quiet . They had all the amenities as any other hotel even for its quaint size .
A very nice spanish style hotel in Santa Barbara . For our weekend it was centrally located for our activities. The King Suite was a good size one bedroom with a living room, dining room , and fully stocked kitchen . A very cute kitchen ! Each room had a smart tv with direct tv and DVD players . The lobby lent out DVDs ( over 1000 in their collection) . In the evening, the lobby had cookies and hot apple cider. In the morning , there was continental breakfast - at anytime there was coffee and tea available. While the boys went surfing, my teen daughter and I rode the beach cruisers available to guests down along Cabrillo Blvd. to the SB Zoo. It was a lovely Sunday morning ride. Best there was the car port under us so I didn't have to worry about the kids being loud and no guest room above us.
