I was happily surprised with the place. Very affordable and close enough to town without the high price tag. The staff is very friendly and welcoming and the premises clean and orderly. We really enjoyed our stay and plan to return.

The property grounds are very nice with large shade trees and tables to enjoy. It does face a busy street and the rooms were a bit musty.

It was raining hard when we got there, and I checked in the office to let them know that we had arrived early and would go to get something to eat until check in time. Common courtesy would be to let me know if a room is available early so that we might get dried off and check in since there wasn’t much else we could do in the rain. I just didn’t get a nice warm welcome, it would have been nice. Checking out was the same. Property itself was nice, not as nice as it’s sister hotel, but nice and clean.

Perfect place to enjoy Ojai. We got upgraded to the King Deluxe Balcony Suite and it made the stay memorable. Highly recommend the hotel.

Expedia claimed the room I was booking was pet-friendly. When I arrived at the hotel, they refused to honor my reservation because the room I booked was not in fact, pet-friendly. This is ultimately Expedia's mistake, but neither the hotel nor Expedia agreed to give me a refund. Also, the person at the front desk of the Blue Iguana Inn was not only unhelpful but didn't seem to have a grasp of how their hotel worked, leaving us to find other accommodations on the fly. I have been using Expedia for years, but if they cannot see why I am entitled to this refund, due to their error, then I will not book with them again.

The property is quaint, staff was wonderful. The room had all the extras ready and waiting. The white lights around the property make it so sweet at night. Right across from the bike path and an easy drive to downtown Ojai.

The room was spacious and very nicely furnished in the style of the area. Exceeded our expect and given the cooler weather we couldn’t even take advantage of the lovely outdoor lounging areas. We’ll be back.

Cute Boutique Hotel with lots of charm
This is the 4th time I’ve stayed at the Blue Iguana - the charm is what keeps me coming back! Pros: -very cute boutique hotel - safe -close to town by car - spacious rooms -friendly staff -pool and jacuzzi - dog friendly - affordable Cons: - needs an upgrade - needs new TV with streaming services, especially since the entire town closes by 8pm - old sponge in the kitchen, should be a new sponge with every new guest - not walkable to town - next to a very busy road, so if you’re a light sleeper, this is not the place for you.

The size of the units was ample and the furnishings quite attractive and comfortable. I loved the pool area and the gazebo area. It would have been nice to have more fountains to counter the road noise.

We loved our stay here. The bed was really comfortable and the suite itself was so welcoming and cozy. You have the option to order a little breakfast basket. The kitchen will come fully equipped with dishes. And the pool area is smaller than I thought, but still so relaxing surrounded by the lush landscaping. We will definitely be staying her again for another weekend adventure away from the city.

Arty hotel in Mira Monte close to Ojai
Enjoyed our stay. Room very pleasant -had an arty feeling. Generous with the coffee and teas. WiFi and Air conditioning worked well and bed very comfortable. Found the TV over complicated to use. Pool area and hot tub very nice. Pool a little fresh. Easy free parking and a pleasant stroll to Starbucks along the Ojai Valley Trail (about 15 minutes). If you are enthusiastic you can walk or bike to Ojai on the trail in the other direction.

Such a cute property. Very nice areas to sit outside and relax. The breakfast basket is very nice and worth it. The only downside is it is o the Main Street and rooms in the front are a bit noisy overall loved my stay and will come back.

Hotel grounds are nicely designed and well-maintained, room was clean and spacious, but overall the stay was noisy and not restful. There is a busy main road just in front of the hotel, so inside the room and all across the complex you hear constant traffic/car noise until about 11 pm, starting up again around 6:30 am; also there is a well-used pool and hot tub spa, so fair amount of sound from that during the day & evening travels across the complex and can be heard in the room (though maybe that’s more summertime with more families vacationing?). The hot-tub and pool are decorated nicely, but you do hear the road noise as background while hanging out there. Note that the hotel is 2 miles from downtown, and although there is the Ojai Valley trail across the road from the hotel, that trail is alongside the busy road so not really a pleasant stroll to get into town for the restaurants and shops. At the hotel, the staff at registration and at checkout seemed prickly and indifferent (or maybe just tired of dealing with summer tourists?). Not the warm vibe we’d expected for a first visit to Ojai and for a hotel with such a cool name & room decor. It is a good hotel overall if your plan is mainly just to shower & sleep and then motor out to other sites around town during the rest of the day.

Gem of Ojai!
We always stay here for a little getaway while we are in Ojai and it never ceases to amaze me how magical this place is! We love everything about the Blue Iguana. From the friendly service and staff, the pool and jacuzzi area, the cleanliness of the villas, and last but not least the vibe and decor is everything!
