Great location and well styled & stocked facility. However, our room was very small for the 4 of us, and we had 2 full size beds. if I stay there again, I would clearly request queen size beds and confirm the room is a larger on site.

The Riviera Beach House is a boutique hotel with lots of beautiful art and nice decor. It’s located in the Funk Zone which is an arty neighborhood full of wineries and original shops. There are also some good restaurants, bakeries and cafe’s nearby. This hotel was very central, close to Stearns Wharf and State Street which was convenient. It was very clean and smelled great and the room was comfortable although small. I really enjoyed staying there and would stay there again.

This beautiful property is in a perfect location. It’s literally steps away from the train station and walking distance from multiple restaurants, wineries, the pier/boardwalk and the beach! Perfect for couples!

Loved the vibe, the location, and the cleanliness of the property! A downside was the room I booked was very small (I booked a King Bed with Garden View) and a tiny bathroom, if you’re on the toilet, you’re sitting right in front of the sink with shower right next to you - but we were only there for one night, so we didn’t mind as much. Also, you can hear what’s going on in the hallways and a little bit of next door. Lastly, the train! The property is pretty close to the train tracks and so you’d hear the honking from time to time. Overall, pleasant stay with friendly and very accommodating staff :)

This hotel was in a great spot, and the staff was really accommodating and friendly. I called ahead to reserve a spot in the parking lot (paid valet parking), which turned out to be important! The only negative would be the small room size - the king size bed took up most of the room, and there was nowhere for a large mirror to hang. The bathroom/shower was compact, and would be too small for a larger person to use. Other than that, everything was clean, the staff was friendly and the hotel smelled great - so overall we call this one a win if you are ok with a small space.

The staff was lame. Did not inform needed to REQUEST maid service. Overcharged both my sister and my credit cards, duplicating charges. Valet is a joke-$48 and you get your own car. One day valet put someone else’s keys in my car and I could have driven away with them. The hotel interior is beautiful but the rooms are TINY. The location is great.

Small room but very clean and modern. Very nice common areas to relax and have a beverage. Lots of dining options and easy walk to Funk Zone, which is very fun. Not far from State Street promenade. Excellent location. Parking expensive.

Upon arrival I was advised that no parking was available. I had to park blocks away at night. Our room was very small and there were dead insects on the bathroom floor. The body wash bottle in the shower was empty. We had an upgraded room with an outdoor patio, the patio was nice. The next day I talked with another valet staff who advised there was parking space and the person working the night before was new. I relocated my vehicle to the valet. I was told that maybe they could waive the cost of parking because of the inconvenience - did not occur. The restaurant attached to the hotel is very good. All in all, I will not return to this property.

We stayed at The Riviera Beach House this past weekend and it was absolutely great! Jennie was at the front desk and was very professional and attentive. She offered rental bikes so we could take a stroll to East Beach, the SB Court House and all the way down State street. The room was clean. The patio was super cute. The location perfect, walking distance to everything. No complaints at all. We will be back this summer!

The property was clean and well decorated. It was walking distance from the beach and eateries. They had bikes to check out for free. The room had a small 5x5 patio area which was nice but the door was not sealed so the high winds kept us awake all night. It sounded like a train blowing through. The heater did work properly

Property was tastefully decorated in light, beach’s, furnishings. Staff was excellent. Location was great. Bed was very comfortable. However, the room was small and windows were too high to see out of. We were placed in an ADA standard Queen. I’m not sure how a wheel chair would maneuver the room. Like the idea of the promised plush robes? There weren’t any.

The room was very very small. There barely enough floor space for two luggages. The ac would not go below 67 degrees. We lowered it to 67 and even then it didn’t feel like it was 67 degrees.

I lived in Santa Barbara for over 20 years and still visit often. This was my first time staying at the Riviera Beach House and I loved it. The hotel and rooms are very nice and it's in a great location. I enjoyed my stay there very much as a single traveler and will stay there again. However, I would not recommend the hotel to a couple. The rooms are tiny. Very tiny. The photo is the view from my window this morning.

Good looking hotel, but avoid room 207
Though the hotel is aesthetically pleasing, the room we stayed in (#207) was not very comfortable. I hope this does not apply to other rooms, but the most uncomfortable aspect of this room (#207) is that there is a constant rumbling sound coming through the ceiling and/or wall. It seems that this room is either directly under or next to the ventilation or other mechanical equipment and I could not sleep through it. The staff was kind enough to give me earplugs when I asked for them, but I could still hear/feel the noise. The other issue with the room is that the designer thought it would be a very cool & modern touch to have a frosted glass door into the bathroom, it is indeed very impractical and annoying. When one person is sleeping and the other goes to the bathroom in the middle of the night and switches the light on...the whole bedroom is essentially lit. It doesn't make sense to have all the bathroom lights (ceiling + mirror) connected to one switch. They should have left the mirror light switched on independently of the ceiling so a smaller light source can come on at night...or at the very least have a separate night light in the bathroom. The last comment about the hotel in general is that it's few steps away from the train tracks & crossing. It is alarming when a train blares its horn in the middle of the night. Ugh!

Convenient but noisy stay
This hotel is very close to the beach, which is great, but it is also very close to the train tracks. Depending on where your room is, you may hear the train at night. Our room was also close to the patio, which provided additional noise. When we arrived, there was no soap in the bathroom, and the front desk could only provide us with face soap. The bed was very comfortable, and since we we planned to spend most of our time outside of the room, the stay was good overall.

I booked a king bed and was given a double. When I called about getting waited to what I booked they said I should have told them sooner. Also the phone and tv didn't work and never fixed. Lastly, when I shared the shower was not a comfortable way to take a shower I was told it was a learning curve. That's not acceptable. as a guest you should show more customer service. I want a refund!
