Not a typical HyattPosted Aug 28, 2015
The hotel was clean and the front desk staff friendly, but for the amount of money paid I expected much more: Pros: close to the beach, quiet, clean, friendly front desk staff. Cons: VERY RUDE valet service, they were mad because we chose to self-park and treated us very poorly each time we had to interact with them; the room was smaller than our modest master at home. There was basically enough room to walk around the bed. The bathroom was small as well. The restaurant and lounge were outdated. We went to the lounge one night and overpaid for a couple of watery drinks. The bartender was nice but it didn't make up for the price gouging. All in all I would only stay at this hotel if you wanted to go to the beach all day every day. Otherwise don't waste your time. This is nothing like the typical Hyatt hotel I have come to expect.

TerriblePosted Aug 27, 2015
Pros: I liked the staff, friendly with a smile and a positive attitude. Loved the location. The parking and valet accessibility are great as well.
Cons: The room we stayed in was in shambles. Fridge out of order, Distressed AC unit blows in more dust than air. The Bathroom could be cleaner. Too Noisy.
Location: The location is incredible! A very short walk from the beach. Highly accessible location.
Could not believe the condition of this hotel! Felt more like a cheap motel! Was pretty disappointed with the state of the room, and the noise. The overall room is pretty outdated, old AC in terrible shape, pretty loud, and barely functional. Cleanliness was at a minimum, especially in the bathroom. Fridge didn't work. But that wasn't the worst of it. I actually got no sleep whatsoever. Such an uncomfortable dusty noisy room. The construction work right next door made it impossible to sleep in the am, and made exiting the hotel at times was like navigating through a construction site. There was no service at the pool for drinks, etc... Towel hut was empty.

Cons: see above
Location: restaurant and shopping, not walking distance
small and old room, old furnishing, only a view of cars outside of small window, dark lighting with small TV. very noisy AC unit. reminded us of a old "Holiday Inn" Guest services (i.e. coffee station) horrible no complimentry breakfast.

nice but could have been betterPosted Aug 25, 2015
Pros: The overall staff was very nice. The hotel and our room was kept clean. It allowed us to bring our small dog and they were good with it.
Location: If you want to run the triathlon it is right across the street. There is a nice place to eat a simple breakfast on the beach.
The room was ok. it was close to the beach which was great however the room for the price was not that great. The shower was small. The staff was good and friendly but housekeeping was out of sync. One day they came to make up the room at 3:45 which is was late. We told them to pass and give us some towels. The housekeeping seemed disorganized. At one time we left at 12 noon and the cart was just one door away and came back at 3 and the room was just being worked on. So we had to wait.

The worst room in the Hotel.Posted Aug 24, 2015
Pros: The location was perfect as I was competing in the Triathlon across the street
Cons: Everything. That room was smaller than even some rooms I've rented in Europe.
Location: Right across from the Beach.
As is typical when we book through Expedia, we got the worst room in the hotel. The rooms that we saw were large as we literally hiked to our room on the top floor in the farthest corner. Our room, was a closet. it was old, but relatively clean and the bed was comfortable. Our room overlooked a park which was apparently a homeless hangout and was loud. The bathroom was small, the sink stunk when we ran the water, and it was tight.

Small Room but Great View and Close to BeachPosted Aug 20, 2015
Pros: I really enjoyed the ocean view.
Cons: The faucet and bathroom smelled like sewer and they need to make sure the soda machine is always filled.
Location: The location was great. The beach is across the street and the waterfront restaurants are a few blocks down on state street.
The room was small and didn't have a microwave and good working fridge when I checked in, however, the staff quickly brought a microwave, the first one was broke and then brought a 2nd one and a larger fridge which worked great. The view was awesome! We had the ocean view with balcony. The balcony was a little high, so you kind of had to sit up straight or stand up to really see anything, but was spectacular. Very peaceful and calming. The only only bad thing I can really say is that, at times, the faucet water smelled of sewer and so did the bathroom. And it was very difficult getting a soda from the soda machine as they were empty and had to walk to another building to get one.

Next to the zoo and beachPosted Aug 20, 2015
Really good location for families. And a very friendly staff. Just a very short drive to State street shopping and dining. Room service food was just okay, but very accommodating to requests for our baby. Pool area is small but comfortable and great service.
