Nice hotel in a nice area

Posted Jun 6, 2017
Great location, about 15 min from downtown Santa Barbara. Good breakfast (included), but could offer more fruit. A bit of an odd smell in the room but not a deal breaker. Saturday had a lot of families staying for a soccer tournament and mayhem ensured at the pool. Why do parents let their kids do that at hotel pools? We never did with our kids - just disrespectful to everyone else there. Sunday they were gone so sitting by the pool was great. Friendly and courteous staff. Would stay there again.

Delightful

Posted Jun 4, 2017
This place is historic, charming and convenient. The staff go above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need. Facilities are kept up. Grounds are beautiful. And breakfast (included) is made to order and not some treadmill chalky usual fare. Seems like a great place to park family visiting students at UCSB.

Impressed!

Posted May 12, 2017
I go visit my daughter at UCSB several times a year. This was my first stay at Pacifica Suites. The grounds are very quaint. The rooms are all suites, so it was nice to have a couch while visiting in the room. Breakfast is included and it's made to order! The lobby has Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf coffee all day, with fresh cookies in the afternoon. The rooms have single serve Keurig coffee makers. I'll be going back!

Professional staff made us feel welcome

Posted Apr 23, 2017
Pros: The wine and cheese hospitality were a welcomed surprise.
Cons: The spa seemed a little dirty, with excess foam on the surface of the water.
Location: The hotel is conveniently located in the UCSB area with many restaurants nearby. Instant freeway access made driving to Lake Cachuma and Solvang easy
For a family with children, this hotel was great. There is an included, cooked to order breakfast every morning of your stay. Coffee and hot tea are always available in the lobby. In the afternoon hours, freshly baked cookies were available. And to make things even better, there is a hospitality wine and cheese hosted by the hotel for all guests Mondays through Thursdays. My kids loved the pool and spa. The grounds were well maintained and manicured, with lots of greenery and flowers. There is also a Catholic Church right next door if you are so inclined. The hotel is conveniently located next to several restaurants. We found it a convenient location to access Lake Cachuma and Solvang. The staff were so courteous and accomodating. We felt like family. This hotel served our needs well and I highly recommend it.

Cons: Expedia was not available to discuss the discrepancy on booking a poolside room, and the hotel was not willing to correct it. Very rude manager.
We liked the hotel, it was comfortable. But when we tried to point out to the manager that we booked a poolside room, she was very argumentative and didn't want to assist us since we had booked through Expedia and not through the hotel. She was very rude and didn't offer to assist, only argued. The room was too warm, facing a parking lot instead of poolside as we had booked. The quality was not what we expected for the price.
