Walk to the Harbor and the Beach

Posted Nov 23, 2015
Pros: On the edge of things, but close to everything that you'd want to visit in SB.
Location: Stearn's Wharf (Restaurants, Shops, and sightseeing), State Street (restaurants and shopping), biking, beach sports, people watching
This is a no-frills but very cute hotel on Castillo, near the end (or the beginning, depending on which way you are arriving) of the main beach area of Santa Barbara. My girlfriend and I try to get to Santa Barbara at least 2 to 3 times a year, and we decided to stay in Santa Barbara for the first time this last trip. On Sundays, the Artwalk takes place on Cabrillo starting at Stearn's Wharf and ending about a half a mile down the road. State Street and shopping is about 5 minutes from the hotel, with plenty of stores and restaurants. There are also several restaurants near the Harbor.

Bra pris för sin höga standard

Posted Jul 5, 2015
Rekommenderas varmt!

Hotel appears basic but is in fact very clean and well presented. The staff though are amazingly helpful and really made our stay extra special. They deserve a special mention as they seem to go out of their way to be extra helpful.

Rooms were Fine, But Shower Terrible

Posted Jun 25, 2015
Pros: The location was close to both the beach and State St.
If this was a cheap hotel, in the $50 range, it wouldn't have been so bad. But it was $150. The room was actually fine, but the shower was so tiny, with the shower head so low and in a weird location, and no water pressure, it was almost impossible to take a shower. But the room was clean and had a good flat screen tv. Just can't get over that horrible shower.

Good Value

Posted Apr 16, 2015
Pros: Location and nice free breakfast each morning
Cons: Price but not going to find better in Santa Barbara.
Location: Everything that Santa Barbara has to offer is close.
Picked this hotel because was close to Amtrak station about a short half mile. Made the mistake of taking a cab meter started at $13.00 trip cost me $22.00 WALK IT.
