Anniversary vacation
We loved our room, very clean & quaint and the bed was very comfortable. The room was clean and nice for an overnight stay. I would have liked bars in the bathtub ti make it safer getting in & out of the tub.

A secret treasure!
The accommodations are quaint, charming, and comfortable. Some family members were in the main house and other family units were in cottages. It was perfect for our needs. We felt at home and welcomed. The breakfast was gourmet faire and absolutely delicious and plentiful.

Dominique and her staff are friendly and welcoming. The Secret Garden has a feel of staying at a friends home. Breakfasts are delicious, and location is very convienent to most of what Santa Barbara has to offer, a great and quiet walking neighborhood too. It is important to note there is a sweet cat named Peanut living there, but if you have allergies, be aware!

Charming bed and breakfast. Owner was very welcoming and breakfast excellent. Our only complaint was a broken window shade which resulted in a warm room on a hot day. However, the air conditioning was able to control the temperature, once turned on.

A beautiful property. Our room, Bobwhite, while small, was comfortable for the two of us. Breakfast in the garden was outstanding! Owner and staff did an excellent job. I would stay there again and recommend it.

Great location and very convenient to amenities especially restaurants. A very walkable area and the parking in the rear of the property was great. Walking through the property was great and arriving after hours the instructions, if you were staying in the main house were very easy to follow to get in and get settled.

Great place to stay
One thing the mattress in the Hummingbird needs to be changed. But over all it was great. Very clean and private. We recommend it.

Why do you think the mattress needs to be changed ? It was bought at the same time than the other ones , they are on the soft side, but we have very seldom complaints. Thank you for your feedback.

The only thing that gave us pause was the daily change of towels, since California has been experiencing a serious drought. Everything else was excellent: property, staff, host, breakfast. We visit Santa Barbara yearly, and would stay here again.

Beautiful, comfortable, quiet. Convenient location. Bountiful breakfast. Friendly and helpful host and staff. Was surprised that towels were changed daily, in a drought region where everyone is trying to conserve water. Otherwise, excellent.

Did not get choice of rooms, as was last room...but did not care for Bobwhite room, inside house. It was back to back with only other room for rent in house, noisy inconsiderate travelers...but also was right next to kitchen...so no sleeping past 7 am...when Host began meal prep. Also did not like using bath right next to outdoor patio where literally everyone stood mere feet away as you tried to...anything...not cool at all!!! Would nor opt for that rm!! Also, no good ventilation, a ceiling fan about to fall on your head, or an extremely noisy window A/C...bed! Agh!!! It was advertised as a Queen, but is more like a sad double. Literally spent an hour the next day looking for anywhere else to stay!

Great choice while in SB
Secret Garden was a treat. Initially we wanted to stay closer to downtown but glad we opted for the unique and romantic choice of the Garden Room at SGIC. We had a private garden with blooming flowers and a loveseat on a deck to enjoy outside of our room. The bed was amazing and we slept great. I wish I had gotten the name of our host but she was very pleasant. Bfast was inquired about the night before and delivered on time and each day included fantastic quiche w fruit.

Perfect and cozy little place close to plenty of places to eat and things to do. Dominique, the proprietor is lovely and kind and her breakfasts are delicious. We would definitely return to the secret garden if we come back to the west coast. Thank you Dominique!

The cottages are very clean, quite and the beds very comfortable. The garden is beautiful with lots of roses and a patio with 4 tables for outdoor dinning. Some rooms have private patios. The breakfasts were great. There is a free onsite parking lot via Sheridan St. The Secret Garden is very conveniently located.
