The property was beautiful and welll maintained. The staff was pleasant and helpful. It was easy to walk to restaurants and Santa Barbara attractions. We would definitely stay there again

My friend and I did a mom-daughter trip for our girls’ spring break and to tour UC Santa Barbara. We got 2 beachfront rooms w balconies. The rooms were spacious, so clean and very comfortable. We wished we stayed an extra night. We enjoyed the pool, jacuzzi as well as the evening wine and cheeses and light breakfast in the lobby. What nice touches! It’s a nice but long walk into the downtown area for dinner and shopping. We ended up Uber-ing back and forth after the first few walks. We truly enjoyed the hotel, its friendly staff and amenities- wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Well maintained, clean and nicely decorated rooms. Great location also. Loved that there was a happy hour. I just thought that the rationed portions of cheese in the styrofoam bowl on the reception desk were a little odd.

Despite the rainy weather when we visited Santa Barbara on February 19, 2024, we had a relaxing trip and enjoyed our stay at West Beach Inn. The staff was friendly, the property was clean and our king bedroom room on the third floor had a great view of the harbor and wharf. We liked having the robes to change into after a shower, and the continental breakfast was fine. Parking was easy and we took the small elevator up to the third floor. The room faces the road and harbor, but with the doors and windows closed, the noise hasn't bad at all. We will definitely stay here again, when we come back during sunnier weather.

The property was very nice and our room was very clean. Our bed was soft and cozy. The free breakfast was nice and the highlight was relaxing in the hot tub and swimming in the heated pool. We will definitely be coming back!

Great location
This hotel is at a great location so that you can walk to restaurants, to the marina, to the wharf, and along the water. However, we found it to be relatively quiet (and our room faced the road.) The bed was comfy (and I'm very particular about hotel beds.) The bathroom was small, but clean with a great shower. Note that the rooms open to an outdoor hallway. It wasn't a big deal; I was just surprised. I like that parking was provided and we didn't have to drive to pay to park elsewhere in town. One downside is that the elevator was out. We were on the third floor. The staff offered to assist with luggage, which was nice. We didn't accept their offer because we decided to take care of it ourselves. But that could be a problem for anyone who had difficulty navigating stairs.

The elevator Does Not accommodate the luggage cart with ample space for guest. It’s hard to believe it’s approved by OSHA. It’s dangerous and should fix it.
