“Excellent boutique hotel with lovely staff”

“We had a really great experience at the Kimpton Los Monteros, Marbella for 11 days at the end of June and into July 2026. This was our second stay, having spent a few days at the Kimpton in December 2025. We would absolutely recommend this hotel to anybody considering spending some time in or near Marbella, particularly great was the rooftop bar and the social hour, where you were able to have free drinks, to include wine beer and cava. “Heating insufficient and hotel did not answer my questions about that. Shower moldy and broken, we did not dare use it. Toilet unusable for a normal size person, the sink blocks you from sitting down (my wife was able to squeeze in diagonally). In general the room was in a state of disrepair and absolutely nothing like the pictures of the room we had booked. STAY AWAY”

“Everything about the La Fonda Hotel was exceptional, whether it be location in the beautiful old town, gorgeous individual rooms, wonderful dining/drinking options or it’s fantastic staff. A definite 10/10 hotel which we will certainly visit again.”

“I suppose the kindest thing to say is that The Monkey Room is a "work in progress". The hotel/hostal is right in the centre of Marbella Old Town and although it sets out in adverts to be "chic" and "cool" it has a long way to go. While I was there a workman was on site preparing another cubby hole as a bedroom and I think my room was only half-finished. The nights were cold and only a single sheet covered the bed and, after moving my room to the one in the photo (instead of on the roof) I found……

Breakfast buffet was great with various selection. We choose the seat at outdoor with tent covered. We enjoyed the seaview so much”
