convenient and good price for the area

Pros: Price and location, nearby my work in Northridge. Staff very friendly. Walking distance to fast food, restaurants, and grocery store.
Cons: Rooms could be upgraded (although seems to be in progress as I write this). Carpets need replacing. Beds could be upgraded, a bit lumpy.
Location: Standard fast food and some upper-grade restaurants within walking distance, also a Ralph's across the street. Commute into LA not bad off rush-hour.
Overall a good experience. Building is a bit old and shabby, and some rooms still have older carpet. Free breakfast is really just granola bars and coffee. Staff was very polite and accommodating.

To just stay for one night, this motel is all right. It falls short on items you would think are just norms to have in a motel room.

Check in was a little weird - if you pay cash for your room, they require anther $100 cash deposit than if you use a debit or credit card. If you book using Expedia, they don't honor their own military discount. Other than that, the room was clean, our stay was good.

Friendly Staff!

We had a nice overnight stay. The gentleman who checked us in was very personable, and got us up to our room in a very timely manner. We were able to chat with him about the rocket launch (12/22/17) which we all agreed was an eerie sight! Our room was very clean and comfortable, although I do have to say the pillows were a little too firm for my taste. We were exhausted from a long day of travel and Six Flags Magic Mountain so we slept soundly. The continental breakfast was decent. It would have been nice to have a little more choice but overall we were able to fill up and get back on the road. The woman who checked us out was also very friendly and check-out was a snap! This hotel is only 12 minutes from Magic Mountain so it was a great choice for our family!

Pros: Location and price
Cons: New carpets, paint, furniture
Location: Magic Mountain, Hollywood, etc
Check in was fine, hotel is in good location, staff was friendly and it was the best price for the area. Unfortunately, the hotel is looking and smelling old. Stained carpet, furniture was old and outdated and chipped. The place had a musty smell too. Be aware that cars are frequently broken into in this area and the one parked behind me had a window smashed and items stolen on our first night. Do not leave Anything in your car!

Not what it used to be

Pros: The staff was nice. Free wifi (connection was weak but still nice). Showtime network. Attached to a restaurant that offers good food for low price.
Cons: Shampoo the carpet in the rooms. Drug use should not be allowed. Do not advertise that this hotel offers continental breakfast. Stronger Wifi.
Location: Excellent location near the 5 freeway. Tons of restaurants, strip malls, grocery stores you name it, all within walking distance.
My parents lodged at this hotel in 2004 and it was nice, clean and well maintained. I'm not sure what happened but the hotel appears to be a place that lodges transients which is a surprise for this area of Santa Clarita Valley. The hotel smelled like meth (I am a nurse and I've smelled this odor before). The odor was so strong it was nauseating. The hotel seemed to run low on hand and face towels. Our last night there we were given 4 large towels to bathe with. I've never had this happen before at a hotel. Also finding hair in fresh towels is not clean. Their version of a continental breakfast was granola bars and coffee. Needless to say, my mom and I were disappointed that the hotel has not maintained a higher level of standard as it had in the past and we're not sure if we will lodge here again on future trips.

Close to fwy. Walk to eateries/shops. Safe local

Easy check in. Clean rooms. Safe location. 5 min walking to a wide variety of eateries and nice BBQ restraints, Wallmart, Petco, sporting goods. 10 min drive to Magic Mountain, Westfield Plaza mall, Whole Foods, movie theatres and in door Ferris Wheel! Priced right, family fun!
