What a beautiful hotel, we couldn't have asked for more. It is quite remote, but we were expecting that from the reviews we had read and for us it was perfect. The staff were lovely, from the ladies in housekeeping to the reception staff and the waiting staff, they were all very pleasant and helpful. We asked a lady on reception if she could recommend some places for us to visit and she marked several of her favourites on the map for us. We visited all of them and they were beautiful. We hadn't realised Spain was so lovely. The food in the restaurant was excellent. It was a little expensive, but you pay for quality and it was worth it.
Our room, which was lovely was on the ground floor (105). Outside we had a small patio with table and chairs and sunloungers and a small lawn. We overlooked the hotel's lovely gardens with a water feature which had a small bridge over and beyond the grounds were stunning views of the valley and hills beyond. Well, I say stunning views and they were, if you were in a room which wasn't on the ground floor, because all the ground floor rooms were 'boxed in' on three sides by five foot high conifers! Why block out such lovely scenery? It may be for guests privacy, but personally, I would choose to sit and look at the beautiful scenery every time, rather than be surrounded by conifers. This was the only fault of an otherwise perfect hotel. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay a very pleasant one.
