Great Location, nice place

Posted Jan 15, 2018
Pros: Location, view
Cons: Clean the backyard
Location: Close to the train station, awesome restaurants, etc...
Very close to the train station. Last time w came into Venice w had to drag my cases over a few bridges before getting to the hotel, it was a nightmare, but we learned my lesson. If you have to choose between walking with your camera in hand or with your suitcases, I think the choice is a no-brainer. Anyway, we got a canal room and couldn't believe how close to the water it was, just over a busy canal with lots boats going by. awesome! The room was very Venetian, with colorful fabric over the walls and decent full bathroom. If you embrace the cultural change, you will love it. If you expect for them to have your specific flavor of Mountain Dew (like I heard somebody demanding) then you are extremely unfair. In case you didn't notice, they don't have freeways with big semi-trucks. Everything, absolutely everything is transported by boat, and you shouldn't be unrealistic about it. No wonder why people all over the world hates us/US even with our big tips. Every restaurant, coffee shop, souvenir shop, landscape, bridge and canal near us was gorgeous! It was not expensive as you will suffer around Saint Marcus Square, but much more "Venice income like", very affordable and the city and the inner streets were beautiful! A must...

Good location. Hard bed. Very old.

Would not recommend staying here. We stayed here because it was close to the train station and had never been to Venice before and wanted to make sure we didn’t get lost on a time crunch. The hotel is very old, smells awful, and hasn’t been updated in YEARS. For the age though it was surprisingly clean. Again though, for the price you could stay somewhere with much better quality. Wi-Fi is also 3€ per person for 10 hours. Again, do not stay here.

Just a place to sleep

Posted Dec 15, 2017
I stayed at the Hotel for 8 nights in November 2017. I was extremely disappointed. Small room. I had to pay for wifi 3 euros for 10 hours and wifi was horrible. They advertise a bar but no there is no bar.TV didn't work staff wasn't friendly. The only plus was that it was convenient to the bus station and train station right across the canal. Shower was horribly small. Very outdated hotel. No I would not stay there again nor recommend it to anyone.

Location - Location - Location

Pros: Only the location - and the heating in the room.
Cons: An awful lot.
Location: Location was the only good thing to say - close to public transport.
We last stayed in this hotel 6 years ago and 3 times before that - it was looking very faded the last time we were there - nothing seem's to have been done to bring it up to a reasonable standard - it's quite run down in many areas - breakfast was very, very poor - our bathroom was very small and compact - and needed a complete re-furbishment - only one staff member was helpful.

Pros: Location, proximity to Piazzale Roma.
Location: As before, location and close to rail station. Padua and Verona easy to get to by train and not too far. Lots of eating places and good supermarkets.
This was our 7th visit to Venice and we've stayed in different areas including three Lido. Canal Hotell in an excellent location, close to everything. We stayed for 3 nights and were not disappointed. Our room overlooked the Grand Canal, it was comfortable, spotlessly clean, and we had a fridge and safe in the room. En suite bath/shower, snowy white towels (these things are important to me!) and hairdryer. Good lighting in bathroom to apply makeup. Breakfast was surprisingly good and plentiful. Staff were pleasant. Would definitely stay there again.

Pros: Very convenient from the bus station.
Cons: Hotel need refurb
Location: Bus station, Train station, Ferries , Gondola and of-course Grand canal itself.
We enjoyed the 2 nights stay. Excellent staff, good breakfast. In a serious note someone have to look after its maintenance. May be a good refurbish.
