Forced Room Downgrade and More

Forced room downgrade from Deluxe Suite to Balcony Suite, with no notice given at check-in until arrive at different room. Called front desk, said rooms were of equivalent value and not willing to offer anything in return, even though rooms book at different rates. Called Expedia, who worked with hotel staff to determine rooms were not equivalent value. Accepted Expedia credit for differences in room quality. Very, very disappointed by misleading hotel staff, especially at a large chain like Hilton.
Last time we were there, a few weeks before this visit, there was raw sewage percolating from the shower drain. Of all amazing things, hotel staff gave us a Twix bar (think about it) to make up for the pooh-filled shower we could not use all weekend.
