Comfortable stay. Clean. Staff needs improvement.

As i was in my room, a male staff member opened the door of room without knocking. Said he though it was empty. He was not housekeeping either. Front desk staff need to be friendlier. Same attitude at check-in and check-out, though different people.

Not so Great

Pros: the slot machines
On the positive: 1. Room was very clean 2. carpet was newly replaced Negative: 1. small room. thats fine but they jammed my small room with too much furniture. the king bed almost touched the tv in front of it. I had to turn sideways to get by it. an oversized work desk, a char and the two other chairs with a foot rest. this room was tiny and it was jammed with a bunch of useless stuff. 2. One warning sign of a struggling business - razor thin bath towels that have been washed thousands of times. 3. the breakfast area was closed because the chef was on vacation according to a note posted in the closed off area. Guests needed to eat over at the casino, across the parking lot. DONT recommend eating there. I ate dinner there the night I checked in. Worst buffet ever. That buffet had very limited offerings, and what they offered sucked. I did win 100$ on the slots, so that paid for my buffet and most of my room, so that made this experience tolerable. I might visit the casino If I am by this way again, but will never say at the motel again.

Thank you for taking the time to send in this review. We recently completed a remodel of the guest rooms to include furniture. I am sorry to hear that it wasn't to your liking. We replace our linen a minimum of every 90 days because we have been so blessed with our drastic increase in our occupancy. Did you try calling the front desk to ask for more towels? If so I am so sorry that we didn't respond. Our Chef had a family emergency that took him out of the country. We sent all of our guests during his absence to the Cities of Gold Casino Breakfast Buffet. It should have been complimentary for you. Please let me know if that didn't happen so I can properly reimburse you. I am sorry to her you won't be returning to our hotel. When that happens it is disheartening for us. I hope all of your future travels are wonderful and worry free. Respectfully, .

Bed was comfy, clean room, staff okay but could have been friendlier. Didn’t give accurate time of shuttle departure, casino not connected and breakfast stops at 10:00 which I missed by 5 minutes. :( Even so, hotel was nice, slept well. Would recommend!

Pros: Breakfast. Spacious room.
Location: Wish it was connected to the casino
I heard people say this. Is an old hotel and it shows. I found that untrue. It is well maintained, very comfortable and we loved it. The breakfast is superb. Great value!

Getting better

Pros: Location
This stay was better than the last two times I stayed here. The room was clean, but they should consider mopping the bathroom floor once in awhile. The breakfast buffet is new, and was actually very good. The location is very good and is the reason I stay there.

Pros: Pretty much everything
Cons: Perhaps getting the Hotel restaurant/ lounge up and running.
Location: Great location & awesome museum nearby.
This golden establishment was pretty much perfect. Bianca & Carmela at check in were simply awesome and very sweet. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable, & smelled great. It was a Sunday, so I was able to enjoy the “Alll you can eat crab legs” for $19.99. What a deal, and right next door. I wasn’t able to enjoy the complimentary breakfast in the morning, but was able to take a look and it looked good. Brian & Barbara upon checking out were just as awesome as the ladies the night before. They both were very courteous and helpful with little complications which occurred. Truly 24K Gold. Mahalo to all the C.O.G. ohana/staff. Take care & Aloha.

No free gaming credits. No pool or hot tube. Very nice beds. Great sleeping at night

Not much better than a Motel 6

Pros: Room was clean
Cons: Pool, exercise room, restaurant, smaller furniture.
Location: Next to highway so we didn't get lost. Don't know what was nearby.
Furniture was too big for the room - couldn't move around. No information was given about area restaurants or things to do. Only option was the casino buffet, which was too expensive, and the snack bar, which was to greasy. Casino was the only entertainment and it wasn't great. Breakfast was good and staff was very helpful.

Staff in the room

A company employee stayed here weekly for almost 4 months and kept getting locked out of the room. A “surprise” visit found a male and female employee in the room. The do not disturb sign was placed on the door. Hotel management was contacted but ignored the complaint.
