Beautiful location, outside of town

Posted Jan 8, 2018
Location: Mountains, downtown Santa Fe, skiing, fly fishing, gambling at local casinos, hiking, spa
Arrived for a New Year stay but ended up getting sick. However, there is no better place to be sick. The rooms were gorgeous in a very simple but elegant way. The restaurant was fantastic and the sunset views are out of this world. It's far enough out of town to feel isolated but close enough if you want to wander into town (shuttle is provided if you don't want to drive). It was a magnificent stay and will definitely make this place a regular stay.

New Mexico Getaway

Posted Dec 2, 2017
Pros: Very relaxing, quiet, off the beaten path of the bustling downtown (square) area
Cons: On site restaurant menu could be revised to reflect more of the in-casita room service selections. Ran out of Prime Rib on the special dinner night
Location: Santa Fe area is full of shopping opportunities, art galleries & museums, fabulous eateries in all price ranges & outdoor recreational acivities
Very attractive and relaxing resort property. If you're interested in nightlife, this would probably not be the place for you as it is a few miles from the excitement of Santa Fe proper. If you're in need of a restful time, highly recommend the privacy and comfort of the deluxe patio casitas.

Beautiful setting

Posted Oct 16, 2017
The Four Seasons at Rancho Encantado is in a beautiful setting. The rooms are private and well appointed. You have a fireplace inside and outside and a lovely bathroom. The floors are concrete and very hard on your feet if you have any issues. The bed was very comfortable. The staff is very accommodating and personable. Having said that you are paying an outrageous price for all of this. The wifi is horrible and there is no phone service to talk to anyone in the area. The spa, exercise area, and pool are lovely. As expected, the spa was very expensive so I can't speak to the quality of their services as I pay about 50% of there prices to experience a massage and couldn't cough up that kind of money. We did not eat there as again, enough was spent on the room that we just couldn't do it. So we splurged on the room as we were celebrating our anniversary. Would I do it again- no, not that it wasn't very nice but it is not a good value. We are glad we tried it though!

Summit Suite provided beautiful views and peace.

Posted Aug 31, 2017
Pros: The location, peacefulness, views, service, luxury.
Cons: The food in the restaurant needs a new chef.
Location: Hiking, opera, quick free shuttle (15 minutes) to downtown Santa Fe.
The concierge was very helpful in upgrading us to the Summit Suite when our original room had a poor view of parked cars and buildings. We loved our new accommodations: an outdoor fireplace to warm the air for our delicious room service breakfasts on our terrace facing the mountains. It was blissful! The entire staff at the Four Seasons was perfectly trained, responsive to every request, and very kind. We took several hikes from the property on our own, quite beautiful; one hike lasted almost three hours. It was wonderful to do this without getting into a car. The swimming pool and fun jacuzzi added to our enjoyment, three wonderful nights with no complaints.

Beautiful and Quiet location

Posted Aug 24, 2017
Hotel was ten miles away from Santa Fe - it was surrounded by trees and hills - it was relaxing and wonderful. The restaurants served excellent food - there was really no reason to leave the resort. The employees were friendly. The rooms were really clean. I wanted to go back as soon as I was on the airplane home. Highly recommend it!

Expensive and not adequate value for money

Posted Aug 9, 2017 on Hotels
Nice hotel that is way over priced. We travel extensively worldwide so we know what to expect at a 4* or 5* hotel or resort; this hotel is way overpriced in comparison to competition. The dinner at the restaurant was very disappointing...... the food quality and presentation was adequate, but the serving size of the very expensive roasted chicken was tiny and so over priced we were in disbelief. The children's dinner menu was limited, overpriced, and the choices were inadequate at a 5* location. For travelers who are prepared to spend their hard earned money this is not value for money, and because the hotel is fairly remote the restaurant has a captive audience and charges accordingly.

Beautiful hotel away from town

Posted Jul 24, 2017
Every single person at Four Seasons goes out of their way to be friendly, and accommodate their guests to ensure a relaxing magical escape. The grounds are spectacular and away from the hustle bustle of town. However, shuttles are provided to and from town hourly which is perfect. Best of both worlds!!! A+
