very friendly staff and liked that they had coffee or hot water in lobby. Would only recommend that they open the lobby for 6:30 am so people departing would have access to the microwave

Great VisitPosted Oct 2, 2015
Staff was very friendly, room #234 was very clean, towels fresh and new, refrigerator in room, walking distance from downtown and new bedding. Large room, Queen bed and wonderful stay and hardly heard the traffic, pretty quiet, plenty of parking... Highly recommend Motel 6 Downtown. Oh yeah, bathroom was Very Clean unlike other places, you won't regret staying here.

Not bad for the pricePosted Sep 28, 2015
Pros: The price and close proximity to downtown
Cons: shampoo and tissues in the bathroom would have helped.
Location: A restaurant called Vinaigrette, store called Modern General for breakfast & Nation hamburger joint with organic food. All fantastic.
This motel is very basic but for the price it's not bad. I mean what do you expect for $50-$60 and just over a mile to the Santa Fe Plaza? While we were there, the motel rooms were being refurbished with wood flooring, new platform beds and mattresses which were comfortable. A comfortable mattress important to me as I'd spent two days in Taos at a Day's Inn on a mattress that was hard and which had left me with an aching back. In this motel, besides the bed with attached night stands, there was a fridge and a table with two chairs, a safe and a suitcase stand. That was pretty much it. The bathroom was clean, the water was hot and there was coffee at 7:00 am in Reception. Our rooms were on the 2nd floor so we had luggage to drag up the steps. There again, for the price this motel was not bad. We couldn't find a hotel closer to the plaza for this price.
