Traveling with all your gear can be expensive and bulky, depending on your transportation choice. You might want to stop by REI Store for snowshoes, a coat, and other outerwear. Once you've made all the required purchases, you and your family will be ready to make your way to the top of the hills. Hopefully you will get to do some shredding on an epic bluebird powder day, or a morning when there has been a fresh snowfall. There's nothing more exhilarating than carving down the mountains on the easygoing bunny slopes or difficult black diamonds. If you aren't an experienced skier, check with your concierge to see if they offer ski lessons, in case you want to avoid catching an edge.
Once you finish off a morning of skiing, you may need some extra time to thaw out. Ask the front desk about any warmer activities in Santa Fe to help you warm up. They might know of a few kid-friendly activities, such as roasting s'mores over a bonfire, board games at the hotel, nearby movie theaters, or bowling alleys. They might be able to give you some kid-free options too, such as an on-site spa, a dance club in the city, or a cozy bar with cocktails to warm you up. When you decide to call it a day, you will have a freshly-made bed and a room full of amenities to help you have a relaxing night. What are you waiting for? Your vacation is just one slope away!
