This is a property with good bones but bad skin. Probably designed by someone who understood elegance and fine taste but then recently operated by someone who understands none of that. The property condition is poor (wifi weak, crumbling walls, doors and faucets that need repair or replacement). The staff was friendly but not professional, and in one instance the young lady who showed us to our room was found reclining on the lounge chairs in the common area chilling on her phone. The road to the hotel could be described as charming or a nightmare depending on your point of view. It passes through a parking lot for a public beach and was terrifying to drive my pristine rental car through. Previous reviews I read complained about the restaurant being closed, and the same thing happened to me with dinner service closing strangely at 6pm. Finally I should mention I found an Alarcón (scorpion) in the hotel room. These creatures are endemic to the desert like mountainous surroundings but unwelcome
