Good hotel, friendly staff, great location

Posted Jul 24, 2017
Pros: The room itself, the approachability of the staff and the pool area. The rooms generally and bathrooms in particular were well maintained.
Cons: Breakfast could be a little cahotic, probably a result of the lay out of the room rather than a failing by the hotel. Staff will get you anyhting.
Location: The location is excellent - only a few yeards from the pizza Santa Maria Novella and a few minutes from the Duomo and the train station.
although it does not have an imposing facade in a city of imposing facades from the moment we arrived this hotel had a welcoming and homely feel. The staff were extremely helpful and the facilities are comfortble and of a good quality. Our room was well appointed over two levels with two bathrooms and two televisions. Seperate sleeping areas for the children enabled us all to have a rare sense of privacy in a family room. Although only a few minutes from the train station it is in a quiet location and the main attractions of the city are only a few minutes away on foot.

Nice Hotel

Posted Jul 22, 2017
Close to train station, and walking distance to all popular sites. Hotel has a pool, rooms with balconies and great views of the city, rooftop outdoor lounge area for socializing at sunset, and a perfect breakfast included. We stayed 4 nights and used Florence as our home base to visit other parts of Tuscany. Very pleased with Hotel Croce Di Malta.

Pros: The location, the swimming pool.
Well located. Ask fo a garden view room WITH balcony. The rooms are clean and pleasant. The swimming pool is a must in the heat of the summer. Great if you travel with children.

Great location, excellent view from the terraces

Posted Jun 3, 2017
Pros: - Location was excellent - Friendly staff - Breakfast buffet was delicious - Free wifi worked well - Lounge and garden area was beautiful
Cons: - Need to update the hairdryers
Location: - Close to train station (about 7 minute walk)
This hotel was located very close to the train station and all the attractions. Beautiful garden and pool in the back and the rooftop view of the city was amazing. The building itself is in a former convent and the architecture inside is nice. The room was very spacious and clean. Staff was very friendly and the room furniture was antique style. The hairdryer was a little weak but the rest of the stay makes up for that. Free breakfast buffet was amazing and was a great perk. The wifi was free and worked well and they also had a computer and printer in the lobby which was useful to print out any tickets or itineraries.

The hotel was in a great location and we had an incredible room with a small balcony and looking over the canal. The breakfast, which was included, was good and the staff recommended a number of excellent dinner options

Fantastic location, friendly service!!!

Fantastic location, friendly service, typical European hotel breakfast, with an old-world rustic appeal. Wifi connection is a little slow, but overall this is a great hotel. I would definitely stay here again.

Convenient location in the historic city

Posted May 9, 2017
Easy walking distance to most artistic sights and museums. Breakfast was basic with eggs ,crossaints, cereal and fruit. Décor very interesting. Our room was on 2 levels with sitting room on first floor and beds and bath on second floor loft. Huge windows opened on patio of pool. garden and sitting area. Loved the look of it although we didn't spend a whole lot of time in the room.

Wonderful Florentine Charm

Posted Apr 21, 2017
The hotel staff was very kind and helpful, helping us make reservations for things we wanted to do in Florence. It is in a good central location of the city to easily access the other sites of Florence. The room was a bit stuffy because the a/c was turned off but the staff found us a fan thankfully. The beds were a bit hard but we slept fine after walking around all day. They have a great breakfast selection and the rooftop bar is a definite bonus!!
