Overall the stay is nice and pleasant as the staffs are very helpful and friendly. The down side is it is near to the streets so it can be noisy at night. The toilet flush sometimes does not work well due to water pressure.
We loved our stay at this hotel and would definitely recommend staying here. Only 3 minutes walk from the Santa Maria Novella Station. The hotel room was super clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was also very good. Salam was very kind and attentive.
Enjoyed our stay here. Our room was facing the plaza, therefore, it was noisy at night. Other than the noise, our visit was very pleasant. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Not recommended at all. The room was super small in a way that you could not walk. The toilet siphon was not working properly and we had to push it several times and hold it to flash. The windows were single pane on a super busy area. We couldn't sleep at nights. The elevator smelled nasty. Shower was super dirty. When told the receptionist, they just said sorry. Horrible experience.

Guest did not show in hotel. He asked a free cancellation just one day before coming.Fraudolent guest and fraudolent booking.
Hotel not marked and hard to find. Bathroom was broken and flooded and they did not fix it even though they knew it prior to our arrival. It was noisy since it was next to the plaza where people sing and play loud music. The staff is very nice. The location is excellent.

Dear Customer,The Hotel is in Piazza Santa Maria Novella, one of the most famous squares in the world. The noises he says refer to people walking in the square. The bathroom I don't know what problems it had.
The hotel is old, the AC doesn’t work. The drain for the shower is very very slow. It’s not safe to get in the shower/tub. The tub is higher than usual, there is no handle to hold.
The area is in convenience in the center of the city and is very close to the train station.

The hotel is not on the newer side which is understandable. The A/C was our only issue there because it was hot and it didn't seem to work. the staff was super nice. you can leave your key up front so you don't have to carry it or worry about losing it. Its also really close to the train station and several methods of transportation
Great location, in the very center of Florence, room very large and very good service. Breakfast was ok, mix italian and international. Perfect for a stay in the city

The property is at a great location. It’s just a little old. The room we were given was awful. Bed was so bad we literally felt every bed spring. The smell was so awful it made our heads hurt. I asked if we could possibly move and was told yes for an additional $50 Euros a night. But what really made me mad was the fact the front desk guy said he knows & gets a lot of complaints of the smell for that room.

Hi,
We are so sorry but you booked the most economy room that we sell online.
We were full on that period, and it was not possible to make any free upgrade as requested.
Your room was economy room type but it was very nice and we haven't any complaints for it.
A kind regards,
The Manager.
This property was centrally located to all we wanted to see and do. It was small with a great breakfast. It was quiet, easy to get to from the train. We enjoyed this hotel
Hotel is in an excellent location, within walking distance to the station and the Dome. It was extremely hot but the aircon worked well. The concierge recommended some great restaurants for dinner!
After an unfortunate hotel selection of Hotel Spanga which was a total dump. I was fortunate to get a room at Hotel Domus. The staff went out of their way to accommodate our needs. The hotel was near the train station as we needed, was clean and had a staff that truly cared about the customer 's experience. It was so good that
Not a 4 star hotel. Stayed in room 111. A very tired and basic looking room. Walk in shower which leaked and was not very stable. Good breakfast but very small breakfast room which was very cramped. Handy for train station and all attractions Would not stay here again.

Smell in the lobby, on the stair and in my room was horrible. I think they are trying to cover smell of smoking. The result is awful. The owner is rude - suggested if I have allergy to the smell I have to go to hospital or to find another hotel. Yes, this is exactly what owner told me when I've asked if I can change the room. I had non-refundable 3 nights reservation in this property. After 1st night left this hotel, paid again to stay in different hotel. Room and the bathroom was tiny even for 1 person. Bed was super uncomfortable.

Dear Customer,
the owner of whom he speaks is the same one who takes compliments from many guests.
I remember you well, booked a Basic room and didn't like it.
He will have found a million excuses in 2 days that he has been saying bad and rude to everyone.
To me personally they called 3 times at home (even at night) because they didn't know how to do ...
It is true that you should seek treatment. I'm sorry

It's not too far from the Duomo and is within walking distance of the train station. The mattress was terrible, however.
Perfect location, near the train/bus station, but also near the centre.

Two stars, not four. READ MY REVIEW.
Not four star. Two stars at best. Only one person working. No porter or bellhop. Holes in towels. No breakfast even if the hotels.com listing says full breakfast included. Have to ask hotel for credit voucher to make up for it. Lobby furniture has dark stains on old couches. Smelly elevator. Television monitor is 50 cm, too small. No manager is available at all to appeal problems or common sense.

Dear Guest,
only becouse breakfast was not included.
You made the reservation at the lower price possible....
Rest is only fantasy to try make demage at our hotel...
This DC traveler recommends Hotel Domus F. Friendly, attentive staff. Ease of access for sights, dining, terminal. Quiet, Clean, secure, attractive & airy, The best towels from Paris to Rome I might add! Excellent breakfast on rooftop terrace. Hats off to them!
Really a mixed bag here, and disappointing vis-a-vis the 4-star status. The positives include (1) the location being great both for the train station and for exploring Florence; (2) the fantastic service ethic displayed consistently by Mirko; and (3) the good work of the two people who served breakfast. The cons include: (1) loud both as re street noise and re a bunch of 20-somethings partying hard on the first night until 2 am; (2) dated room; (3) two twin beds pushed together when a double bed was specified; (4) highly problematic toilet flushing mechanism; and (5) bugs in the room from open windows. We wouldn't come back again.

In thanking you we would like to add:
We are in the center of Florence so it is normal for people to walk, even though we are in a pedestrian area.
To have a single bed you must book a king bed that certainly does not have the price you paid. We have them in Dulux rooms and Junior suites
Thank you
