Convenient.
The place is great considering that it’s relatively cheap. Me and a friend were traveling with luggage and were in Florence for just a day so the location was great for us. Since it’s walking distance to the train station, we were able to easily settle in, drop off our heavy luggage, and keep moving through our day to explore the city. The staff was super helpful, not just during our stay but even after. We checked out but were able to leave our luggage with them and come back to pick them up when it was closer to our train’s departure time.

Good for the money
The hotel is basic but really clean and it is definitely what backpackers like us want! The bad was really uncomfortable: it wasn’t a double bed as advertised, but 2 single beds put together that kept moving apart in any possible direction! On the second day I woke up with a terrible pain in my neck, the day after my neck was tilted on the side and couldn’t move at all! Other than that it was good: really big room, clean, friendly staff.. they gave us a lot of tips and stored our bags after check out for free. In the room we had a sink and a shower too, but the shower didn’t have a door and there wasn’t any hot water so we used the shared one anyway. Some new forniture would make this place definitely better, but so far it was worth the money.

Only good thing was the bed and fan..
When I arrived in Florence, into SMN. I knew roughly where to go by following the directions. Using the GPS on my phone, it showed I was standing outside it. All I could see was scaffolding. I looked up there was no name on the side, no nothing. Yes the door was open, but in all honesty it looked like an entrance to flats or something, not a hotel. I looked around the surrounding area to see if it was elsewhere but alas it was said building. I i walked in with my large suitcase, and the first thing i seen was stairs, even though it said about a lift. I noticed a lift in the far corner, but the doors on it were weird, I could just about get the suitcase in. The hotel is situated on the 2nd floor. After checking in, I was informed I was to be on the next level, but when he saw the suitcase, he kept me on the 2nd floor instead. The door looked like it had seen better days, I'm glad you can only get in with the key, otherwise it would have been really dodgy. There is a shower in the room, but it doesn't work, the actual showers are in a separate area. If it doesn't work, why is it in the room? No curtains on the window. Only good thing about this hotel was a comfy bed and the ceiling fan

Very friendly staff, and very helpful- gave us tips for good food and cheaper gelato placed. We got upgraded to a larger room. Unfortunately the in room shower did not have doors. Also there was no mirror in the room at all. At night it was very loud because the windows didn't seal close. The heater broke down over night and leaked water everywhere. The staff was very good about fixing it up and cleaning the room. Washrooms were all clean and had hot water. The location is prime.

It was a lovely layout close to all the main attractions. The staff were lovely and very helpful. The only major gripe that I had was the coldness of the room. After getting stuck out in torrential downpours we has no additional heating in the room upon our return it was an ice box........

Very basic, about as good as you could expect for the price. The location is fantastic so I recommend not spending too long in the hotel itself if you can avoid it! Staff were lovely and friendly.

Very disappointing. I thought I booked a private room and when I showed up it was a shared hostile room. Uncomfortable cots for over $230! Absolute rip off. Would never recommend unless paying $40 a night or if someone prefers a hostil. As a hostil hotel it’s fine.

Good place and good value
The place nice in general and very acceptable for the price. My only problem with it was the lack of power outlets to charge your phone there were very few. Service was good in general and helped me by holding my stuff after I checked out!

Very close to the old town and all the tourist attractions. With a 2 minute walk there was a a plaza which was a nice place to sit and meet people and watch musicians play.

Don't ever stay in this hotel, your wasting $$$'s.
I will dispute with my credit card a deduction of 25 euros for lie-ing to me that I have my own bath. I even asked the receptionist before we went to my room if I have my own bath and she confirmed yes. But when we got there, the bathroom is next my room and outside. She said this is how they're bathrooms are. I don't know if this is what you call "private bath". This hotel also is living in the past. They don't have computers so their guests can check their emails.

Hello Nonnie, Thank you Reviews, We appreciate but at same time we could like to tell you, you have chosen Room Type :- Standard Triple Room with Shared Bathroom, Which means it's shared Bathroom with other rooms and not Private Bathroom (I am sure you do understand ENGLISH or at least meaning of shared Bathroom). We could like advice you next time whenever you book hotel please check properly Room type and please make sure next time if you want to use computer, you do ask at reception. We do have computer but if you don't ask computer then how come we know you need computer. We also advice you not to write any lie-ing reviews, you have never booked private bath and receptionist never told you about you have private bath and we challenge you if you show us your booking with private bathroom we will refund all your money of your stay. Please Don't Lie.

Okay Hostel
Staff was very friendly and offered to help with advice for things to do. Location was amazing. Very noisy- the door would stick badly and the old fashioned key was very difficult to use to lock and unlock the door so you would hear everyone for over five minutes at time trying to get it to work. I felt safe and the wifi worked well.

Hotel was well located - just a 5 min walk from the train station. The hotel was very clean, but unfortunately my room didn't have AC which made sleeping quite uncomfortable. However, I think this is a case of you get what you pay for. Overall a great hotel for the price.

Good for the money.
I liked the hotel. Using my booking map, I managed to walk right to it from the train station. The room was satisfactory, and my husband and niece and I managed to make the shared bathroom work for our needs. The lively neighborhood worked for our needs as well.

Great location for one star.
Great location, clean room with fresh linen lucky we had a ceiling fan and fly screen on our window, but shared bathrooms are so small you cant even dry yourself or get dressed in them. Staff were helpful.

If there was a way I could rate this in the minus then I would. Firstly, the hotel room was sparse, the sheets were dirty, when the maid service made the room it was in a worse state than we left it. The shared shower was a joke. There was one for an entire floor. The shower had no head so that water just dribbled out. The only good thing was the location but do not be fooled thus is possibly the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. P.s the staff were quite rude.

Hotel is in the middle of Florence
Its situated in the middle of Florence. (Near train station, shopping areas, churches and tourist spots). Our room is on the third floor. The lift is so small and we did not use it. We used the stairs in our stay there. Front desk person speaks enough English to communicate but does not seem enthusiastic. A key is needed to lock and unlock from both sides. Its a bit of a worry if a fire breaks out and you forget where the key is. You could hear the noise outside even when the windows are closed.

It is really a hit or miss with this hotel. Pray to you god that you get a room in the lobby floor. We got a room in top floor, and this floor was hot 24/7. The night we were there it was very chilly and breezy outside. However when we came back, the Room was still horribly hot. No Air-con, just a fan in the ceiling with no possibilities to adjust speed. And from dying from the heat, we kept the window open, but we had another problem. The street the hotel is on has people constantly passing by making noise, together with the traffic it was hard to sleep. Our room had however a new mosquito net. The elevator doesn´t go all the way up either, just to the lobby floor. Just don´t stay in this place if comfort and peace is you choice. We really had no dealing with the hotel service so i can´t comment on it.

We chose this hotel for our short stay in Florence on a budget basis to offset bigger costs on other hotels. So we were fully prepared for what we will find. The Hotel is conveniently located near the Railway station but in a very noisy street. The street Sweeper is coming past about every 20 Min. from about 4AM. The Shower is very small in the room and the WC has to be shared with other People off the corridor. A tiny Lift can bring you near to your room but there are also some steps to overcome. It almost seems that one Lady is doing all the work including looking after the reception and cleaning the rooms. As a budget accommodation this hotel meets the requirements but it is not for everyone. Thank you tor the staff for looking after us. Hans & Marlene

Helpful staffs, the front desk guy helped me with me big luggage since they don't have an elevator.... Clean and beautiful room, comes with nice bathroom, tv, closet, safe box, hair dryer. Remember to have your key with you cause room door close automatically.....(I have to go downstairs to ask staff to open the door or me....) Pillows are thin which is the only thing I can complain. Breakfast is pretty simple.... Coffee, breads, milk, cereal and yoghurt. Location is quiet and really close to San Marco. I will recommend this hotel to my friend

Simple but very agreeable
We weren't expecting much from this hotel when we booked it, but we were very pleasently surprised. The furniture in the room was basic, but perfectly adequate, and the bed was surprisingly comfortable after all of the rock hard matresses we'd been sleeping on for the past couple of weeks. The room was bright and reasonably spacious, and the other guests were quiet. The bathroom is shared, though it's kept pretty clean. Only annoying thing was that the shower was right next to the toilet, so the floor could be wet. The staff was friendly and helpful, and breakfast was very basic, but satisfying. The hotel is less than five minutes' walk from both the train station and the Duomo, so very good location!

This hotel is in a perfect location, right downtown and a 5-minute walk from the train station. It's in the center of all the shopping, dining, and tourist attractions. It's a quaint hotel...a bit rustic but perfect for a one-night stay. Our room had French doors that opened to a private patio. That was quite nice, but there's no air conditioning and the room fills with mosquitos at night. So we had to sleep with the light on to keep the mosquitos on the ceiling. Take mosquito spray so you can sleep with the windows open! It's shared private bathrooms, but there was no problem to get the bathroom when I needed it. The owner is a very lovely lady...extremely attentive, friendly, and accomodating. Free wireless internet in the room. A delicious home-cooked breakfast.

The staff was friendly. Our triple had a sink and shower, but we had to use the hall toilet. The beds were very springy. Very close to the major attractions in Florence. Not at all elegant, but very convenient and inexpensive. Great for backpackers.
