Nice hotel... Not bad location.Posted Jun 18, 2014
Nice hotel, safe feeling area, clean room. The staff was friendly, the hotel is a short walk to the train station and a short walk to the city center. If you are not active you may want to think a bit more before you walk. It's about 20 minutes with luggage and a 10 yr old child. The hotel was nice. Get food in the first three blocks from the station, as you get closer to the hotel the food narrows (we liked a small pizza place next to the pufumery one block parallel to the station enough to eat there twice). We would not hesitate to stay at this hotel again if staying in Milan. The hotel written directions were helpful, you just need to apply a little translation logic. The street is very busy all night, if road noise bothers you, the corner room probably won't work for you.

LovelyPosted Aug 18, 2013
Location: Loaction a far from the train station but the bus will get you to the center in 10 minutes or less.
This hotel is and the people that work there are super nice. The hotel is a bit far from the train station but the people are so nice it makes up for it.

Good for the PricePosted Nov 8, 2012 on Hotels
A bit hard to find at first as it is right on the corner. Room a bit small but good ensuite. Breakfast food provided with tea and coffee. Very helpful Management, within walking distance to town, so once the car was parked, we walked both days. Enjoyed our stay.

Ok place, but be warned:Posted Sep 19, 2012 on Hotels
This property is located 4 blocks behind the train station which isn't too bad other than it is located right on the busiest street in Florence. It's the loop around the city and it is really loud. The hotel rooms are on the ground floor and you hear motorcycles and sirens all night long. I brought my own fan to drown out the noise. The maid was insistent on opening our windows every day which allowed mosiquitos in and fumes from the traffic. The AC ONLY works during the day. They turn the AC off at night which I cannot sleep hot or in a room with mosquitos. I complained to the staff, he barely spoke English and acted like I was unreasonable that I wanted AC at night, even though I had previously emailed them to make sure there was a private bath, AC, and internet. Speaking of internet. No wi-fi and there is a communal computer with the slowest dial-up connection on earth. I couldn't even check my google email. Hard beds too. If you can sleep through scooters racing by at 60 MPH all night and sirens, then you may like it. I expected more. Side note: there is a GREAT pastry shop in the block behind the hotel. Nice owners and very friendly each morning.
Clean basic Hotel but very poor locationPosted Jul 23, 2012 on Hotels
The Hotel in itself was fine with the rooms being very basic but clean. The Uncle and Nephew who seem to run the Hotel are extremely pleasant and helpful. That's where the good point's end I'm afraid.... The Hotel is a good 15 minute walk to the centre and is located on an exremely busy main road. The area behind the Hotel is very quiet with only a bar and restaurant to visit. I would avoid at all costs visiting this area as I was nearly mugged when going for a walk during the day, honestly ! Extremely dodgy which is why I would not stay here again..

Great hotel, great pricePosted Jun 22, 2012 on Hotels
Me and my partner stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and enjoyed everything about the hotel. The owners were very friendly and even though it is not a big place it is very clean, comfortable and contains amenities that even big chains may not provide for free such as bottles of water. The walk from the centre of Florence was about 15/20 minutes which keeps in par with the price of the room. The only fault with the hotel was that it was dark as the shutters cannot be opened in the rooms, apart from this it was a fantastic hotel with a great sized room and the price was great. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a cheap priced hotel in Florence.

Soggiorno Madrid - Small B&BPosted Mar 25, 2012 on Hotels
Very nice B&B just 10 min walking from downtown Florence. Nice restaurants and cafes just around the corner. Very good prices for the rooms, with en-suite bathroom and cleaning included.
