Used this hotel for a Universal Hollywood trip with my family. Definitely suited it's purpose. Staff was friendly, room was clean, and relatively quiet. Decently priced and a short drive to the park.

"Beautiful hotel!"
Beautiful building, great downtown location, clean and comfortable rooms, helpful and polite staff, though did a lot of mistakes: in the evening at the hotel restaurant we could not get food we ordered, then we found that after spending a day in our rooms we still are not checked in because of receptionist mistake. Other than that everything was excellent!

"Heavenly location!"
I've been coming here for 5 years, at least once a year. the location is simply extraordinary- the facilities are amazing. the staff are very sweet and accommodating. However, all dining options remain at best mediocre and very expensive. And I've noticed that every time I'm "upgraded", the room is actually not as nice as when i'm not upgraded. This time i was "upgraded" to oceanfront, but the view wasn't as nice as the "oceanview" room, and the room itself wasn't as nice. THey're doing construction, which i wish i had known about as it made for a less peaceful and relaxing stay- this Manhattanite was looking forward to quiet and no truck sounds! I was also disappointed when the shower flooded and i had to call 3x to get them to fix it- and i still had to stay in a room with soggy carpet. The hair dryer was really old too- very beat up. I do really appreciate the free bottled water and free internet. It shocks me how many hotels still charge for internet. and $12 bottled water. I will keep coming here as it's a magical place and the staff are sublime.

"Nice hotel close to friend's baby shower"
Gentleman at check in was super friendly and helpful. Pool and gym area were modern and clean. Club room was stocked and the young lady working there was friendly and attentive. The reception staff even got the hotel car to drive me to the restaurant where my friend'd baby sower was held!

"Weekend Stay @ The Luxe"
If you're looking for a very nice hotel at LA Live and do not want to pay the JE Marriott or Ritz rates, then The Luxe is for you. The lobby is very small and not so appealing but it's convenience to everything we wanted in DTLA (Grand Central Mkt, Bottega Louie, LA Live, etc.) was awesome. The room itself was very good, very clean and quiet. The room does not more drawer space for clothes and a bigger closet. It would also be nice to have a shelf on top of the closet and hooks for used towels in the bathroom.

"Super Clean, Quiet Gem"
I stayed at the hotel due to it's proximity to my business meeting. The valet parking was great. Check-in was separate from the casino. The room was spacious, clean, recently updated, and quiet. Inexpensive, healthy dining options were available. The fitness center was outstanding and I had it all to myself in the morning. Staff were friendly and accommodating.

While you don't have to catch the waves, you can still appreciate Santa Monica's surfing culture by watching others in action.

For a detailed insight on the city's heritage, check out the exhibitions at the Santa Monica Museum of History. Types of Santa Monica Resort Amenities

Upscale Santa Monica resorts offer contemporary amenities like flat-screen HDTVs, mini-refrigerators, plush bedding, and ergonomic chairs with desks. In addition to being steps away from the Pacific Ocean, most resorts have their own outdoor swimming pools that are heated and open year-round. Some boutique resorts have rooftop pools along with sundecks and bars, which are the ideal locations for drinking cold cocktails and watching the beautiful sunset.

At a Santa Monica resort and spa, you can indulge in a massage and relax in a sauna or indoor Jacuzzi. Wellness amenities also include state-of-the-art fitness centers, which are great alternatives when the weather isn't ideal for running on oceanfront promenades in Santa Monica. Concierge staff provide information on discounted access to country clubs and tennis centers in Los Angeles County. For lunch and dinner, restaurants in Santa Monica resorts serve delicious local seafood with garden fresh salads. When dining at a resort's on-site restaurant, you can also expect to sample fine wine from CA vineyards or local craft beer.
