Helpful staff, great location

The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Pedro, Daniela, Kyle, and Jermaine. They made us feel like royalty. The hotel is close to shops, great restaurants, and the beach. I definitely recommend this hotel.

Lovely hotel not good for sleeping.

Pros: Beautiful great staff
Cons: provide ear plugs in rooms
Location: Near the beach and shopping.
This elegant hotel is a party hotel. There is a night club with very loud guests so if your room faces north you will be hearing them late at night as they leave or fight with each other. If you face the pool there will be party people out there until late at night as well. So if you have come to party this is the place. If you have come to work Good Luck! Staff great.

A special place to relax by the beach

We loved our stay at the Miranda Fairmont in Santa Monica. Our room was exceptionally clean, the staff were so polite and accommodating and the location is perfect to get into the fun restaurants, shopping districts and beaches that Santa Monica offers. The only trouble we had was that there were not enough spaces at the pool and often had to wait for a lounger. Overall it was fabulous and would stay there again.

Service leaves much to be desired

Pros: Clean rooms with nice views
Cons: Customer service is greatly lacking; Noise coming from club on the hotel grounds is ridiculous and lasts until 2AM
Location: Nice views of beach, but can't enjoy the balcony due to loud club downstairs; close to 3rd Street Promenade and Pier
We stayed overnight on 5/20/17 and unfortunately we did not have a good experience. For the price we paid for our stay, we anticipated excellent service, but the service was uneven at best, and downright poor for the most part. The staff was friendly but seemed overwhelmed and often disinterested. We had to hunt down our waiter on more than one occasion (in the lobby and at the pool) to get our food and drink bills, as we felt essentially ignored. At the pool, they ran out of towels a few minutes before we arrived, but we were told that fresh towels would be arriving shortly. We didn't realize "shortly" meant 45 minutes later, which was about 30 minutes after we were done swimming and had already drip-dried. The evening didn't get much better from there. We wanted to dine at Fig, the hotel restaurant, yet when we dialed down from our room around 7PM, the phone just rang and rang. After four tries, we gave up. We ordered room service and tried to enjoy it on our balcony, but the tidal wave of noise generated from the night club on the property made dining on our balcony unbearable. We had to deal with that noise until 2AM. When paying the same price as we do when we stay at Four Seasons, we expected the impeccable service like we get at Four Seasons....this service was more Holiday Inn Express. We won't be returning, especially with Shutters and Leows just down the street.

Great location in Santa Monica

Equally good for business or pleasure. Beautiful indoor outdoor bar area in the lobby next to a lush environment and pool. The private bungaloes are to die for.

Very loud nightclub which impacts the South tower

The hotel is lovely, but be aware that if you stay in the south tower, there is a nightclub (the Bungalow) that plays loud music until 2am. The cleaning crew is on until 3:30 am. The hotel offered earplugs which did not help. This is not mentioned on Expedia's description.

Historic hotel close to everything

Pros: Historic hotel close to shopping and the beach
Location: Easy short walk to the beach, the pier and shopping
Lovely historic hotel with modern upgrades. Great bar for people watching. Professional staff who are very accommodating
