terrible hotel

Pros: Absolutely nothing!!
Cons: Everything needs to be improved
everything about this place was horrible!! The faucet in the sink ran all night long. The toilet leaked at the bottom plus was unstable. The fan in the bathroom made a very loud noise whenever the light was on in the bathroom. It was so loud you couldn't stand it. The whole room looked dirty. You walk on the carpet & your feet were black. The toilet looked like it needed to be scrubbed plus the bathtub looked dirty.

Too many things off to make it worthwhile

Pros: If all you want is a good location (it's close to the Blue Hole, restaurants, and freeways), quiet, and ac that works, this may be the place for you.
Cons: Simple stuff: Have cold drinks either in the vending machines or the office. Don't forget the coffeepots. WiFi and plugs might be more complex issues.
Location: This hotel is only half a mile from the Blue Hole. The water is cold, but well worth a brief dip on a 90 degree day.
I've stayed in plenty of budget hotels (although I didn't get a great deal at this one to be honest), so I never expect everything to be perfect, but there were so many little things wrong that I don't plan to stay in this one again. First off, I don't usually visit hotel vending or ice machines, but this was the one time that I arrived really thirsty after a long drive and I was craving a cold drink and some ice. NO drinks were available in the vending machines or at the office (the staff told me to go across the busy street to a convenience store), and a sign on the ice/laundry said to ask for ice at the front office. The room looked clean enough until I wanted to make coffee and discovered that there was still coffee and a filter left over from the previous guests. The door stuck a lot and was difficult to open and close. We also had to move the bed and do some searching in order to find a plug for my CPAP machine, which I really need in order to get a good night's sleep. The Wi-Fi worked for an hour or so and then didn't work for the rest of my stay. There was nothing hot for breakfast except oatmeal. That would have been okay, but after the Days Inn in Tucumari (which had better breakfast offerings and more consistent Wi-Fi), I was disappointed. I travel periodically to Colorado from Texas to visit family and I am looking for places to stay along the route. The Days Inn in Tucumcari will definitely be on the list, but this one won't.

Location was fine, pool was fine. room was nice size. Carpet needs cleaned.

Wonderful staff

Pros: Front desk staff was very good at her job.
Cons: Update the rooms with new amenities.
Location: Location is a very small town. Plenty of food choices. A small car museum. But not much else.
The staff at the Day's Inn in Santa Rosa NM was wonderful. Unfortunately the hotel is getting old and showing it's age. The staff is doing their best to keep it up. The room was clean, the TV worked. The bath tub had several patches. But, let me say, the staff from the front desk was very responsive and helpful. The cleaning crews were on top of their job. Long story short, I would stay there again during my travels if only to feel as welcomed as I was.

Booked last minute and wasn't expecting such a nice room for the price. Huge king bed as well as a small wall separating it from the couch and tv. The room was very spacious and the vanity had two sinks. I would stay here again.

Good accommodations for the rate. Checkin and checkout easy but not overly friendly. Someone checked in at 2am right above us and this was very disturbing; it appeared as there would have been other rooms available.

Hotel was clean, people friendly, the bath tub bottom needed help. There is a nice restaurant next door.

It was OK. The hotel is older, but seems to be well kept. Nothing fancy, but worked well for a night's stay.
