Spacious and pleasant room, good bathroom, and lovely indoor-outdoor balcony under the trees for breakfast, casual drinks, lounging, admiring the view and feeding the monkeys. Area is lively and interesting: bars, restaurants, craft shops. Close to Central district, up the hill over the cobblestones. ...
We stayed here for one night over carnaval and were able to walk to and from the sambadrome (and felt safe) The staff were fantastic, so lovely, friendly and welcoming, it was like going to stay with family!! The building itself is quite unusual as it's an old colonial building and you enter via ...
I stayed at the Rio Panoramic with my family for four nights in August 2017. It was a wonderful experience. The hotel is a beautifully-preserved Art Deco gem, with big, elegant rooms and an incredible view over Guanabara Bay to Sugar Loaf Mountain. It's hidden away, and access is via a steep cobbled ...
Nice place in a colonial neighbourhood. Freindly staff. Some facilities could be better maintained. Some things were a bid old and worn but the overall experience was very nice. Like the breakfast a lot!
The view from our balcony was really nice, the hotel is on the highest point of Santa Teresa. The staff were very nice, helpfull, always there for us, specially Liz, Sarah and Denis. I would recommend.
Great experience. Dave was so helpful and accommodating. Neighborhood very quiet with easy access to restaurant and shopping. Quite a find.
Just had a wonderful three nights here. The service from the front desk and the catering staff was very friendly and personable. I was upgraded without having to ask. The location is great in an authentic Rio neighbourhood of Gloria. I'd happily return here on my next visit to Rio.
Overall very good stay! The breakfast was excellent. Beds were hard and they forgot to leave us a blanket and because they leave at 6 and don't come back until 7 the next day,, we never got one so we slept with a sheet. Nice courtyard, very nice house and pretty close to town for great ...
Nice, good advices for the bus and the metro to move in town
You wont find a better hostel in Lapa. The staff is kind and helpful, they have the better información about almost everything in Río. There are pool parties all sundays.
We just came back from a short trip to Brazil during which we stayed in the Monte Alegre hotel for 4 days. The hotel is clean and the hotel staff very nice and helpful. If you can speak some Portugese it will be easier on you and the personnel. Present economic conditions in Brazil show a little ...
Staff were extremely friendly and helpful (they also speak fluent English). Many tours are on offer at the hostel.
Casa Geranio was amazing. The owners and hosts Claudio and Gabriel were awesome and instantly made us feel at home. Here are some highlights: The location - Santa Teresa was such a cool part of the city. High up on the hill overlooking the city, cobblestone roads and old stately homes. Great little ...
