At check-in, the front desk was polite and showed us to our room. We had expected a pool-side room but were advised that there were noisy parties all week and some going on until 5am so we settled for a high floor away from the noise. The room was spacious enough and set out with a large king bed, table and sofa. The bathroom was small and cramped but everything worked OK and was clean. Unfortunately the safe was broken and despite reporting it to the front desk, it was still broken when we checked out a week later. There is a flat screen TV with mostly Spanish-speaking channels but some foreign news as well. The aircon is badly positioned right next to the bed so when you are sleeping it has to be turned off or you would freeze. Housekeeping staff are friendly and thorough which is good. Breakfast seemed dis-organised and I think the management would do well to give the staff lists so that they are more consistent. Some mornings there was missing cutlery, or no butter, or no water. The toasting machine was on some days badly placed, so that toast fell out the back and on to the floor. The pool is not cleaned every day and by Sunday the water level had dropped, filters were not working as a result and the water was turning green. Not good. I have to say I think the staff here do try but with the exception of housekeeping which is fantastically led, I think there is a clear absence of good leadership, coordination and organisation.

We stayed in this hotel as our friend was getting married here, when we booked we didn't know what to expect from the hotel or the surroundings as we had never been to this side of the world before! From the 2 week stay that we had here we were very happy with our accommodation and although there was a huge language barrier, the staff were amazing. Our only downside was that in the pictures we saw before we came, it looked as though there was 2 swimming pools, but actually one of them is a decorative pool! So I would advise not using this hotel if you are coming for a sunny pool holiday, as one you cant use and the other is tiny. Also the air con is soooo loud. But other then that we loved the hotel and it was especially amazing for the wedding too :D

I have come to suspect that this hotel was modelled on Fawlty Towers. In the Spanish translated TV version it must not have been clear that the series was NOT an instruction manual on how to run a hotel. I kid you not! I wanted to change hotel after the first day but was advised this is one of the better ones. Laundry took two and a half days to reappear. And running out of underwear and going commando in 30+ degree heat is not ideal! Breakfast supposedly starts at 7 am, in reality this means 7:30 am (Spanish time-"ish") d yet most of the businesses open at 8 am, so there's never any time to get a full breakfast if you're here on business. But this is probably a blessing in disguise, noting that the bread rolls are stale and rock solid. Not sure whether they are meant for consumption or for construction. And, to top it off, dinner hours start from 8 pm! There are a couple of friendly staff, but the rest have attitudes that range from Bassil Fawlty's belligerence through to Manuel's incompetence. They never clear away the tables at night, so the first things you see when coming downstairs in the morning are tables filled with empty wine bottles and piles of dirty plates and glasses. The room is clean but has no coffee making facilities or iron but it does have a fridge. But there's nothing in the fridge. And the hotel doesn't sell anything suitable, so daily trips to the local supermarket are necessary. But the

Great but worn out
We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful, the breakfast was great and the location was very safe and close to shops etc. The grounds are fantastic and the wedding we went to there (which was why we stayed there) was a fantastic occasion. However the rooms are in need of a renovation. We didn't go there for ammenities so it didn't matter to us but if you're expecting a modern hotel to international standards this is not the place for you. But it is certainly a more authentic Santiago experience.

The fridge was not good rhey didnt change in 2 days We ordered breakfast package because of early flight but they didnt do it They order taxi for early morning from the previous day but it was not enough for 2!!!!!people we had to call another what is not easy 6 am to find

This hotel was recommended to us because of the location. Which was great. However, our stay did not start off well. Our room was on the 4th floor with no elevators, and both of us have knee problems. Asked to be moved and were told nothing was avavilable. Next morning we wake up to no water! Absolutly, no water. We were told that street work was happening and water pressure was low. So low that it could not make it to our floor! We immediately went to check out when the manager was notifyed of our situation. He changed our rooms to the first floor, so water was flowing to the bathroom. He was very nice and really went out of his way to accommodate us. We will diffientaly come back. Chao

This hotel is tired and if ALL rooms are in the condition of the one we stayed in it needs a FULL BLOWN & ENTIRE remodel. The tub shower condition was unacceptable and this room should not be rented again until the bathroom is remolded! The common hall way carpet is filthy and smells. Paid in advance I was told I had to pay again at check out? A beautiful property in it's day it is time to put some money back into it!!!

SPECIAL hotel
We were very comfortable, we have stayed about a week. I knew from booking the hotel that it is an event hotel and very loud on weekends, we were moved up to the 7th floor of the hotel, very nice view of the city... free breakfast was great and the staff are great, no complaints. Also, one more thing, even if you place the do not disturb on the door knob- and had left during the day, they would still go in and clean the room. But EVERYTHING went smooth and would stay again.

Had to move hotels at my expense due to all night parties
The stay didn't start well as they gave us the wrong key cards for our room, from here however it just went downhill. The first night we noticed the shower was dirty with other peoples hairs and mould on the window and the air-con was broken, this could be forgivable and an easy fix, except for the troubles the next night. Unbeknownst to us the hotel was holding a wedding, which lasted until 5am with loud music and noisy guests keeping us awake all night! Speaking to the manager he refused to offer a refund on the nights lost sleep, or the following nights where we decided to leave due to a second all night party occurring! Worst stay ever!

Not really a hotel
However, this is more a place for wedding parties than a place to stay overnight. The main business of the hotel is these parties, which take place until 5 am. You cannot avoid the sounds of these parties. The AC is very noisy and ineffective, so you had to keep the windows open, and let all the noise come in the room.

Late on Saturday 7th, Feb 2015. All about a late cuppa. The experience had a happy ending. Since there was nothing open, the staff member on night duty invited us to have a seat and quickly produced two cups of coffee and biscuits, compliment of the house. Good attitude, thanks, much appreciated.

Great place to stay if you just want to relax away from busy downtown rush
Very close to the metro easy to find. 3 blocks to red line metro. Supermarket also close with coffe shops etc. feels very comfortable and secluded from city but close to city.... Can walk easily. Staff is great rooms vey nice and clean. Rex room small but very useable. Able to smoke a good Cuban cigar in garden a plus! Great breakfast and even better coffee. Would highly recommend. Also if you go to to punto montt same hotel brand there also great deal and hotel.

Too noisy!
The hotel did not have a record of our pre-paid reservations and gave us three last choice very noisy rooms including one that was missing a curtain. The hotel hosted several weddings each night so it was very noisy. Good place for weddings but not for a business layover

Good Location
I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel but it could use a renovation in the rooms. The fan, lighting system are a little outdated and require a switch to turn them on located by the nightstand, as well as the TV. Overall, a great location by the Manquehue metro station and in a very well established neighborhood.

Great value in a peaceful place
I was traveling frugally, so took a discount on a small room, but everything about the Manquehue worked well. The staff were quietly super helpful. The place is one block off a busy avenue (5 min walk from the subway), but felt like it was miles out of town. Even the lounge singer was good. This was a lucky find.

During our 15 days stay i complained about the refrigerator not working from the begining.. it was never fixed.. Coffee terrible...Wine mediocre.. cheap stuff.. We changed room and the fridge didn't work either... Found a big spider in the tub twice...maybe because the bath window was left open They have the inteligent idea of having a truck picking up empty bottles at 4 am ... awaking us up In all, the management should put their act together with these details because the hotel facilities are really nice and its location is good.

Nice stay in Las Condes
Very nice hotel in a quiet residential neighborhood. Omar at the front desk spoke good English and was very helpful. He gave me the name of a good seafood restaurant within walking distance of the hotel and the food and service were excellent. My only minor complaint was that room 12 was on the ground floor near the front desk and I could hear voices early in the morning. Breakfast which was include din the price was very good too.

Good potential but...
The hotel is actually pretty cool. Multilevel floors and nice architecture. However, the service really brings down the rating. For example 1st day there was no body and floor towels, 2nd day no shampoo/conditioner, 3rd day had to request service twice and so on. Breakfast is always the exact same thing and fruit is canned fruit. In general it is those minor details that make a big difference.

LOVED this place!
Beautiful hotel with a comfortable, spacious room. Staff were professional and friendly. Food was good. The only negative is that they are not equipped with 220V outlets, and did not have enough adapters, so I had to charge my phone/laptop at the front desk. The grounds are gorgeous and you don't feel as though you are right in the middle of the city. If I lived there, I would use it for my wedding. I would definitely stay there again.

Relaxing atmosphere with excellent service
We booked this hotel last minute after cutting short a trip in Colchagua Valley. When we arrived, one of us was not feeling well, but we were hungry. The servers at the restaurant modified the heavy luncheon prix fix menu offering so we could just have some soup and salad, which was perfect! Then, a staff member who spoke excellent English gave us an impromptu tour of the entire hotel, which has a rather organic feel, in a nod to Patagonia. In the evening we sat down at the bar at the very end of a time when light appetizers were laid out. Apparently someone noticed we missed most of the food, because the manager of the restaurant came over with a complimentary plate FULL of cheeses, olives, crackers, etc. The service alone was such a treat, we cannot rave enough about this hotel. It is not far from a metro and an excellent walking neighborhood; shopping and many restaurants are close. Our room was clean and spacious, though basic. The bathroom was VERY small, but efficient and effective and provided all we need; if you are not concerned about posh rooms, and all you need is a clean, comfortable place to sleep, the rooms will suit your needs. We stayed at three hotels while traveling in Chile, and this was by far the most outstanding. The grounds are lovely to walk around, and the patio and bar area is a great place to relax and unwind. This will be the hotel we pick for Santiago if we return; it felt like an Oasis.

Nice hotel in suburbs...Just needs better coffee !
The Manquehue Hotel is set amidst beautiful gardens which gives it a different feel,more like a country feel... People who choose this hotel must know it is in the suburbs,so if you are tourist with little time you should choose either downtown (for walking everywhere) or the Vitacura area which is a cab ride from downtown,but closer than Manquehue . One important comment: breakfast is not set in a very appealing way and coffee is HORRIBLE !!!!!!!!!!! Attention should be paid to this as coffee is a starter for everyone !!!! Breakfast can be simple but chosen better!!!

The bathroom makes a terrible noise all night long, it was really hard to sleep, the bed is hard..and I call to the hotel directly by phone asking for a cab, and when i came to the airport, i had to take another cab, because never showed up. Terrible experience.

A bit of European flavor
First two nights the room was a bit small for two adults. The third night's room was terrific. Breakfast, included, was adequate and not over-whelming. This hotel takes you to Europe in its style and personnel.
