Temperature in rooms unbearable. Windows are exposed to direct sun and are not isolated. Rooms were not clean when checking in. Toiletries insufficient, had to ask the staff for everything. Pool towels are nasty!.

Beautiful property, amazing views and big spacious garden area with pool and waterfall. The service is excellent, the food options are great from poolside, breakfast buffet, and restaurants. I really was impressed by the bakery that turns amazing patisserie on a daily basis (in house). The rooms are spacious and well appointed. I really enjoyed my visit.

very well maintained property and excellent service from on site staff. Only issue was we had connected with the hotel a number of times prior to our stay about linking our 2 reservations, as they were made at different times, so that we did need to change rooms, and our requests to be at the highest floor possible and away from the elevators - none of this was followed when our room was assigned. Others in our group who booked after us, with no specific requests were given higher floored rooms away from elevator - same room type, we were initially assigned a room on the 2nd floor right across the elevators. Once we spoke to Christina at reception, she confirmed the messages were there, and did end up moving us up to the 6th fl, a few doors away from elevators. Once that was address to a degree, it was a wonderful stay.

The Mandarin Oriental advertises (and prices) itself as a top luxury hotel. Essentially a remodeled Hyatt Hotel, the rooms were nice but nothing special to justify the high costs. The staff was top notch; however, the onsite food was mediocre. We ate at both restaurants and the pool area, and the food just wasn't good. Small sizes and high prices were included. Much better to walk (10 minutes) to the Parque Arauco and eat at one their dining establishments. If you're looking for a truly 5-star hotel, this is not the place for you. We did arrive in the morning but couldn't access our room until 3:30 PM.

Great location with lots of walkable restaurant options. Pool is nice facility to have in the very hot summer. Rooms are spacious with nice bathroom. Air conditioning was NOT working well, which made sleeping miserable. I asked the staff to address several times to no relief. They also need more front desk staff working at peak hours as lines can build up.

The outdoor pool and lounge area is incredible. Multiple food and bar options onsite. Luxury resort feel. We had a spacious and well equipped room that was refreshed daily. High end experience all around. A safe place to hunker down in Santiago!

The staff were amazing. They went above and beyond to please. Using Uber is fast, clean, and cheap for all excursions. The Concierge team arranged any activity and we so very helpful. Most questions and requests could be asked and replied via what’s app- which helped a lot without Spanish translations. We came for the 2023 Pan AM Games to support our athlete daughter and the whole staff cheered us on! They even surprised us with a late night treat of balloons, a framed photo of her, and chef’s desserts. The handwritten letter attached was very touching. The Mandarin staff are passionate about service, and it shows! Oh, and the best poolside waterfall to enjoy in a city!!

A great hotel, however, it is not what you would expect from a Mandarin Oriental hotel. Service was a bit below par and the towels in the room seems to be on the cheap side. Again a great hotel but in my opinion does not stand up to the Mandarin Oriental standard.

Everything about the stay was excellent. The rooms were great, the staff were fantastic and really helpful, food was great - including a tasting option at Senso. Room service breakfast one of best I have had.

Very poor front desk experience, 85 degrees and pool closed despite being advertised as a key amenity I booked hotel for, all restaurants and bars close at 11:00 pm, gym in a meeting room, primary restaurant under renovation and experience terrible in alternative location, great rooms and room attendants, staff friendliness and helpfulness extremely low, many many many better high end alternatives in Santiago, this hotel is vastly overrated on the internet

Not a Mandarin Oriental, more of a Hyatt which it used to be before. Dated building, small rooms, no noise insulation so can hear everything, pretty boring and standard room decoration. Outside area and pool were nice though.

Supremely comfortable and relaxing
Modern and exceptionally comfortable hotel Quality of service generally is excellent although service on the terrace and around the pool was slow. I stayed six nights and enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere and particularly the pool area and gardens The food in both the bar and the Italian restaurant was good value and excellent The elegance and facilities plus the fact that there is a large mall with quality shops only five minutes walk away help make up for the fact the hotel is some way out of the downtown and historic centre
