Takes some getting used to
This isn't really a hotel for tourists especially if you speak no Spanish. It is geared to intermediate term rentals to people in town temporarily, say for work assignment. There are limited hotel services. Sheets and towels are changed every three days. However, it is in a very good location, near a great restaurant district and walking distance to the main plaza of town. The suite is comfortable and includes a small kitchen. You can stock it at the nearby grocery store.

Hotel room had cockroaches and was very noisy.
The room was over a very busy narrow street and the traffic noise reverberated into the room . If one closed the window it was too hot. THERE was a hawker shouting out her wares well after 11 pm every night.They provide only 1 roll of toilet paper and the store only sells packs of 4. We want to cancel our reservation to return there on 117 January.please contact us.

Lovely Apartment in central Santiago
This isn't a hotel, it is an apartment in a fairly large block. When I first got to the building I wasn't impressed by the condition of the reception area and seriously became to question my decision to choose this accommodation. I was directed to a apartment number and thought this was my apartment, but it is actually an office and reception and I was able to book in with no problems. I was then taken to my loft style apartment, which I loved! It was clean, it had a balcony and it was quiet. I was there for 2 weeks; cleaners came in every now and then, changed the bedding and towels and did a general tidy up. It suited me and the reason why I was staying in Santiago for 2 weeks (work related). I felt very safe staying there and getting back there at night. This is a very good option if you want a small apartment to stay in rather than a hotel.

* Standard room size is quite large * Published pictures are accurate * Indoor pool is not available in winter. This should be told in advance * Bath tube is very slippery, and bathroom has no drain in the floor (?) * Kitchenware is very very limited * Bedside tables have no lamp, there is just one lamp in the bedroom, at the ceiling

If you can't speak much Spanish it is quite difficult to communicate with the staff as they didn't speak any English. We were told to message a WhatsApp number if we had any questions or problems that spoke English, after sending two messages we could see that they read them but never got a response.

Pass the lobbies and get to the apartment.
To find where to get your keys and check in is very difficult. The state of the lobbies and hallways (that smell of pets) are terrible. The apartment itself is small but very nice. I liked it a lot. The area is also very very central for tourist purposes.The wifi is really really bad and slow. One would expect much better when paying more than $50 a night. I was in 1313 block B.

I got to Santiago early in the morning, I just wanted to check my luggage but no one was there so I had to wait about an hour or so. They told me to come back at 2pm so I did. They ended up giving me a room after 3:15. The room was not clean. I found the full bag of trash in the kitchen that the last person staying left, there were some trash on the floor, and one of pillow smelled so bad, it was't obviously washed and changed from last people!! I stayed here 3 nights, but they never came for cleaning. No toilet paper or soap or enough towel for 3 nights. The location is super convenient but very noisy at night. There are supposed to be a swimming pool in the facility but they didn't mention where and I don't think there is one.

Good for the price, but definitely not a hotel. Great location - city center. Lots to do. We were there for only 5 nights - place was small but ok for 2. When booking, they called it a loft - definitely not that. More of an efficiency with the bedroom separated by a sliding door. Modern looking and cute. King size bed was two single put together and not very comfortable, but for the price ($200/5 nights) was a good deal.

There was no service. It's an appartment building where the night shift guards were trying to help me finding the room.... Only suggest to book, if you arrive daytime. Don't believe to the 24-hour promise. It's a promise.

Comfortable stay, excellent value
We booked Plaza Suites last minute as our other accommodation fell through and we had a very pleasant stay. The apartments are located in a convenient part of town, with a supermarket next door and Metro stations a ten minute walk away. Check-in was stress-free, signing in at the main entrance, and then being directed to the Plaza Suites reception in one of the towers. The kitchen was well-equipped, the bed was comfortable, and it was very clean. The wi-fi signal was very strong. It was a bit noisy at night, but we had no trouble sleeping. I would definitely recommend Plaza Suites - excellent value for money.

Basic but greatly situated
If you like the center, great food, real city life, this is a great place. You got some nice features close, a nice "zona rossa" close where you can go out eat amazingly and the taxi's will bring you everywhere. It's not ideal for families but more for couples and more experiences travelers. My room was pleasant but to be honest, I couldnt be bothered to ask them to clean the bathroom again because it smelled like urine. A quick clean and it was great. Small but comfortable, good bed and has all the things you need. Internet was ok for browsign but for work (which I had to do quite a bit of) it was... meager. Will gladly return here.

Very nice room, well appointed, Wifi barely usable first night, was fixed next day. TV needed to be reprogrammed, did not let administration know of this issue. Discrepancy between real check-in time, parking cost viz 15000 vs 10000 as listed on website. Information needs to be updated to reflect real times, costs. Despite these issues was very happy and pleased with location, convenience, quality of room. Woul definitely stay again.

Really comfortable and near main streets
Fullfilled my spects. Just need upgrade front desk attendants image & attitude. Excellent rooms, comfortable, al services, clean, silent, near local shopping and eating areas, close to subway trains. Secure, saddly no time to enjoy swimming pool. Cordial atmosphere. Easy to get to from main streets and vecinities. As I told hotel staff: working hard to return and stay again at this hotel ( hope same "C" building ). Regards Guillermo

Close to everything... within walking distance
The only upside to this place is that if your a fit enough person you can walk to all the main places. Plaza de armas is a 10-15min Santa Lucia a 2 min walk San Cristobal was a 30-45min incl Bella Vista... hotel itself is just a place to sleep and shower amenities is convenient but you get what you pay for

Good value and central.
The apartments are small but more than adequate. Very central to market, underground and some lovely parks. Good to be able to store and cook our own food but also eat out. The room was clean and we've no complaints for what we paid. Checking in and out no problems and we would use again.

The apartment facilities are bare minimum. Very noisy as the wall barely control the noise from the neighbouring flats. Apartment doesn't match the pictures provided on the website.

Arrived at the hotel looking forward to some quiet rest. Check in was nice and easy, apart from having to go 10 floors up in D block before going back down and up again in C block. Bed frame lights didn't work (fused, no bulbs) No remote for the TV (didn't matter as there was no signal from the provider). Room Safe was locked out. Sheets on the bed were ripped. Spoke to management and they got the safe open for me. Light were never fixed, no TV remote turned up. Bed Linen wasn't changed all week. Went to use the indoor pool to find it closed for renovation works. No problem, ill just use the outdoor pool - but 1 snag ....... THERE ISN'T ONE!! The room is ok, but thats it. Didn't help Santiago's image I'm afraid!!

Best Location but Fix the Pool Access
The Plaza Suites is in an amazing location. It is close enough to walk to the parks, the museum, the Central Market, the subway and many restaurants and cafes. There is a supermarket right next door on Merced. We walked to Cerro Santa Lucia and Cerro San Cristobal. The Parque Forestal is a lovely spot nearby to enjoy a walk in the park. The kitchenette has a coffee maker, toaster and microwave as well as a stove so it is easy to prepare breakfasts here or a light meal. The bed was comfortable. There is no air conditioning but we found there was a very good breeze when we opened the windows so it was not too warm. The very disappointing thing is that the outdoor pool is not available for use and the Plaza Suites should change their advertising to reflect this. That was the main reason I chose this apart/hotel and to not be able to access it made us very unhappy.

This is a complege fraud. This is not a hotel. It is advertised as suites and is a building with departments. They do not have air conditioned and does not have clean service every day. Obvously checking in is very confusing as there is not hotel sign and no lobby. Hotels.com should be clear that this is not a hotel.

Great location for walking the city but.....
The location is great for exploring the city, a little noisy but that is really to be expected downtown. The room was very disappointing, in need of a serious update, everything is dirty. We had many things in the room that were broken including the TV, the kitchen sink and the blinds strings so you could not open them. The furniture was very uncomfortable BUT the king bed was really great. We mentioned these things to the the staff but nothing was done about it. I really wanted a plug for the kitchen sink, hard to do dishes without it but never got one. I asked for housekeeping three times but we stayed for 10 days and had no housekeeping at all, so by the time we left I was wishing for cleaning supplies. On that note we had to buy everything including toilet paper. In short, be prepared to bring supplies and expect very little and you should be fine. Importantly I felt safe, it was easy walking, and really nice to have a kitchen and a place to go in the heat of the day. No air conditioning but it was not too bad.

These suites are in the central part of the city.
After a complicated check in, we had a few issues in our room with the toaster and tv, within 24 hours and a few phone calls to the reception, these were rectified. But the suites were in a very central part of the city, there was a supermarket and laundry in the next street. Within a short walk there were many cafes and resturants.

Plaza suites are noisy and starting to look run down. The TV in our room didn't work and the security safe had been locked by the previous occupant. We asked the staff to sort it out on three separate occasions, each time they said they would be there in ten minutes but no-one showed up.

Just wanted to start telling you guys this is NOT a hotel, this is a company whom owns a few units in a apartment building, so they rent the units to travellers. A few of ppl of the clerk speak English but it's hard to communicate with them. They have a complete lack of answering the phone or responding emails. It took me 4 days to get a answer regarding a early check in. It's a grocery store down stairs and the apartment has a balcony (it's good for smokers) has a good size fridge and a full kitchen.

Overall stay was good. Upon checking in the man at the front counter was rude however the actual office upstairs was helpful and very polite. They moved us to another room after the first night due to no tv and when the fridge in that room was not working they upgraded us to a loft.

I was there for 3 days, and everyday we had problems. But the worst was one day in the morning, I was taking a shower and then they just cut the water supply. I couldn't even rinse the conditioner out of my hair. I tried to boil water in the water boiler but turns out they had cut the electricity too. Couldn't dry my hair either. I must say this happened in winter time, and it was still pretty cold outside. The staff didn't give any explanations, just "scheduled maintenance" , but they failed to warn the guests... and they gave no solutions. TERRIBLE.

Lights of Santiago
This is a nice hotel, perfect for reaching all of the attraction around Santiago. At first I was a little concerned because the guy at the front desk didn't speak any English and my Spanish well let's say doesn't go past ordering Mexican food. Not to worry he buzzed another section of the hotel and a few minutes later another guy popped up and he took me to a different part of the hotel and set me up. Over all I had a good stay everything is within walking distance including the subway.

I stopped at plaza suites as a lay over from a very long flight. The room was comfortable, clean, the shower was hot. The hotel was exactly what it was advertised as.
