Kata the manager was amazing. We booked for a 2 room apartment and they only had a one bedroom apartment when we arrived. She worked with us to make sure we had what we needed and gave us a bit of a refund since we squished into the 1 bedroom.

Great location right in the centre traffic was a bit of a problem in peak hour plenty of food and coffee near by felt very safe at all times

Caution!
The Santiago Unfurnished Apartments group does not appear to have a strong relationship with Expedia. Both charged me for my stay and Expedia cannot resolve the issue of my refund. Therefore, I recommend avoiding this place.

Hi, thanks for your comments. We are contacting the guest immediately regarding this issue. Unfortunately due to a mistake at the check in, the guest provided his credit card for payment when the reservation was pre paid. When noticing the double charge, the guest contacted Expedia which suggested that they would refund the guest. Apparently this didn´t happen. We would like to take the chance to confirm to every guest that we don't overcharge and any mistake is corrected as son as its detected

Good at the right price
I was told the place had aircondition, but it doesn't. However, I was compensated for this. The view is terrible, however the area is really good. It is quiet and peaceful. I don't feel it is worth the price they normally charge for it (around $70), but I got it at a discounted price of around $42 and then it is definitely good value. As other people have said, the check in process is a bit of a mission (as you have to go to a different place first), however at checking out if you call they will send somebody over to come and inspect and give you your deposit money back, which is really helpful. Other people have complained about this, but the wifi is still definitely a problem. It is slow and sometimes the signal is so weak, my devices didn't connect at all. If you want a clean, small apartment, then I recommend this place.

Thanks for your feedback, Jacobus. We do have air conditioned apartments, but not all of them. Guests who want A/C units should look for the Superior Apartments. We definetly try to maked check in/out processes smooth to our guests as much as we can, so we are happy to make the check out at the apartment when possible. We have improved the wifi since you last visited, the area didn't have the best technology but slowly the internet provider has been updating the equipment.

Value for money but need improvement on cleanline!
The apartment is spacious with basic furnitures. The apartment seems to be at a residential building where there are some apartments are used for holiday renting. The location is at working distance from the walking districts (about 5 blocks away from the busy district). The tables and countertops are dusty and appliances are not as clean. Good thing is that the bed sheets felt clean. I saw quite a numbers of cockroaches from the bathroom, in the refrigerator and also in the kitchen. The check in process had to be done at Santiago Backpacker, a hostel owned by the same owner, which is about 3 blocks away where the receptionist at the apartment building do not speak English but they are kind. I booked the hotel at the last minute and I got dropped off at the apartment by the airport shuttle so there was a bit of a hassle and confusion when checking in. I arrived on Xmas morning but staffs are available from the hostel to assist and they were kind enough to give me a laundry detergent as no shop was opened on Xmas day. Cleanliness is definitely a thing to improve.

We have been travelling for a while and this place was the worst so far. Place was run down and very very dirt. We stayed in as little as possible. The only good thing was the location. And to be fair the staff at the hostel where we got the keys for the apartment was very friendly.

Serviceable and convienient
The reception staff at check-in were very friendly and helpful. We walked the 2 blocks to the apartment building and were shown how to access the building and apartment. It has good security. The apartment was not as appealing as the photos showed. Out dated furnishings. The carpets needed cleaning and the rooms smelt musty. The bed was reasonably comfortable. The wall heater in the lounge room did not work, but a portable heater was supplied. Convenient location a few blocks from Plaza de Armas.

Great location for just a place to rest your head
Location is great, but that's the only reason you'd stay here. Supermarket right across the street and close to Plaza de Armas, etc. Decent eateries nearby, but nothing fancy. If you're looking for a tavern, it won't be anywhere near here. Bare minimum amenities. Linens are tattered and a hodgepodge of whatever was available at the discount store. Pillows suck and mattress was tilted to one side. Shower curtain was torn and disgustingly dirty.

Nice apartment with a good downtown location.
The staff was extremely accommodating and helped arrange multiple taxis and quick to respond to any questions.

Housekeeping and Maintenance is Poor
We stayed here in Dec 2016. The place was dirty(dustballs in corners), the master bedroom lacked curtains or a window covering, and the furnishings were shabby and worn. The apartment is on the 22nd floor of an apartment block, but check-in and breakfast are at a youth hostel 3 blocks away. Breakfast is very basic. Location is central, but that dosen't make up for the general neglect of housekeeping and maintenance of this apartment.

Hi, thanks for your review. We take our guests' comments very seriously. We have corrected the problems mentioned, of course every room has to have curtains. This was a discoordination and has been fixed. Regarding breakfast, its complimentary and not advertised. The check in location is a block and a half away, roughly 150 meters.

Apartment is managed by a hostel located 5-10 minutes away (not a block as mentioned) which made check in and check out not smooth. A great location. Quite spacious & safe apartment. Zero service because no staff available at the premises.

Thanks for your comments, we are glad oyou enjoyed the apartment. Check in is a block and a half away at Mac Iver 661, we send a confirmation email with a map and its location. We are happy to provide assistance at our check in desk, but we don't have staff at the building itself since its a residential premise, which is the reason we don't publish services at our prfofile.

Central location, great view
This was a great little apartment in Central Santiago, with an amazing view. It had separate bedrooms and kitchen/lounge so was nice having the extra space. This is pretty central but that does come with noise/not such a great neighbourhood, but that's city living. I didn't book this til the last minute so didn't get the instruction email in time, but you need to visit a hostel to check in a few mins away - not a problem, but the door person on the apartment block doesn't speak English.

The room was clean and big, bed quite comfy, but they never provided any towels or soap, even when I requested. Also, my friend was looking for me at their check in desk and they told her I had breakfast there and they saw me that morning, which was a complete lie! I never had breakfast there...

Great price, great location, worth the money.
Had a very pleasant stay. The 24 hrs desk was very comforting since I do not speak the language and I had some assistance I'd needed. Our contact person for the room, Ari was fantastic! ArI went above and beyond to make our check in, check out and transportation to airport very easy.

I rented one of the apartments for a couple of days. The apartment was fine, and clean as far as I saw. The dark side of this place is the breakfast and the check-in process. I only went once for breakfast because it was sub-standard, and you have to go to a different location, about 4 blocks away in an ugly place. The check-in process is confusing because the address in expedia corresponds to the location of the apartment, but the check-in process is done in a different location. Further, the reception people in the expedia address are not very professional. They try to help, but they have not been trained properly. Having said this, the apartment was OK. Actually I would go again for a lower-than-average rate because I would discount the breakfast.

Close to Plaza de Armas and Metro Station. The second bedroom had a bunk bed with two single bed one on top of the other one. There is only one bathroom which has to be shared between the 2 rooms.

Thanks for your comments. We have apartments of 1 and 2 bedrooms, with one bathroom as it is specified. The location of our apartments is ideal for visitors and safe, and we also warn our guests of places not to go at night, like in any major city.

It was very unsatisfactory. The furniture was broken/ close to breaking. Whenever someone showered we had to be careful coming into the hallway because water came up from the floor. The window were supported well enough. The stove didn't heat up. It took about 2 hrs for water to simply boil.

Perfect for the price
We had a nice stay; the apartment was clean and with a great view, also had a good and complete kitchen. The top floor has a swimming pool with a view of the whole of Santiago. Staff took us to the apartments and gave us advice of what to do for the night. Nothing too fancy but good value

Basic accomodation
The room had a heater in the living room that did not work. The cords for the tv and internet router were unplugged. When I plugged them in, I could still not get a internet connection and needed another password for my router. I went to the front desk and asked for help and never received the extra password so I had to use the internet connection in their lobby. Breakfast was very disappointing, with just a small amount of oatmeal in a bowl and toast.

The following advertised features were not actually available at this apartment: - concierge - English speaking staff - breakfast (actually available 1.5 blocks away at backpackers hostel) - washer / dryer in apartment is actually downstairs off the lobby - kitchen linens (had to use bath towel) Check in address is hidden in fine print of booking confirmation and was wrong, so we had to wander for an hour to find the backpackers hostel which is the check in location (the hostel name would have been helpful). In addition the room was not ready when we checked in (at 4pm an hour after check in time) necessitating a further 30 minute wait in the lobby. TV is oddly in bedroom not living room. 'Deep soaking bathtub' was actually so tiny it couldn't be used even by me at 5'1" tall. Beautiful view of mountains however and only a short walk to the Plaza de Armas and metro system which is easily navigated.

Hi, thanks for your comments. Our staff is all bilingual. Also, the pictures show the washer/drier located in a separate room at the lobby. If you didn't find kitchen linens its certainly because of a mistake in our procedures that has been corrected. We email every guest after a booking to make sure the details of check in are clear, we will correct any misleading info to provide our guests exactly what they are booking

Outstanding apartments
The place was really nice,cute and comfortable, it had a great terrace on top of the building and a beautiful pool, the people were very nice and gentle, they gave us every kind of information we asked with the highest possible kindness, the very nice cleaning lady (Lita) they have gave us a lot of tips about good places to visit and good wines to drink in new year and told us about the best location to watch the new year fireworks. They were all very warm and helpful, I felt really safe and satisfied with the place and the staff.

not a good experience
the flushing sound from other room is so loud, it made me woke up several times in the night. I traveled several countries, although most hotels said no smoking, when i did, they never charge me , but this one is so mean, they charge my credit card without any notice. be careful smokers.

Unfortunately this is the case of a guest not happy to be charged a cleaning fee for smoking in the room, something that was clearly mentioned at check in and at the apartment. We of course notified the guest during the same day

Departamento sin aire acondicionado. No estaba limpio. Departamento alquilado por la piscina, la cual estuvo cerrada 2 de los 7 dias que estuvimos. El motivo, mantenimiento. Entendible pero son dos dias perdidos que nadie los reconoce. No esta mal, pero en relacion precio/calidad, sin duda hay alternativas mucho mejores por el mismo precio, el cual no es nada barato.

Localização muito boa, perto de tudo.
Ap 2308, a limpeza não estava a contento, tinha aspecto de sujo, acredito que só passam uma vassoura, o tapete da sala estava visivelmente encardido, botamos um lençol para poder ficar em cima dele, os utensílios da cozinha eram bem velhos e o mais difícil foi dormir com um cobertor que não estava limpo, ou seja, eles não trocam. Acredito que vale a pena um outro ap mais caprichado pelo preço. O atendimento deles foi bom sempre que necessitavamos respondia prontamente.

La peor experiencia!
La peor experiencia, los valores son una mentira los cambian siempre, por disponibilidad he tenido que repetir la mala experiencia aqui, la recepcion son un desagrado, siempre inventan cosas para cobrar, impuestos, limpieza extra, etc, siempre es un desagrado el trato, y terminan con la frase si no te gusta anda a otro lado, espero nunca tener que volver.

Llegamos y el departamento era cama matrimonial y no twin, lo solucionaron enseguida. Luego, no había internet, demoro un poco pero también lo solucionaron con un módem portátil. Muy predispuestos a que la estadía sea confortable.
