First off, the hotel has great security and is right on the ocean and that is beautiful. The lobby is lovely, but the room was absolutely not as all the photos showed. My room was large and had a great balcony that had a beautiful view of the ocean. However, there were bug guts all over the walls and the room smelled of mildew real baldy. The thermostat only had two settings, off or Antarctica!! The bed was gross, I took photos of the mildewed mattress! The pillows stunk so much that I had to put several of my t-shirts over them to block the smells. We made sure to not be in the room as much as possible even though I got sick two days into vacation. If you want a nice room, then you must pay extra for the ones that are pictured. The pools were not heated and were actually quite cold and dirty, which is extremely surprising since they close down at 6pm every night for "cleaning". The hot tub was just as cold as the pools and just a dirty. It was very disappointing. Granted, if you are drunk the whole time there you wouldn't really care or know how unclean the pools were. I didn't drink due to being sick. The food was ok. Nothing to write home about and I would not return for the food. I purchesed two spa services and loved the execution of the massage and mud wrap, however I did not appreciate that the massage therapist allowed for the room door to stay open most of the sessions and thanked with another employee while working on me. It was loud and not relaxing at all.
