Hotel wants to be better than it is

Pros: Poor customer service, staff was cold and distant
Location: Many warnings by staff that you could be robbed of kidnapped if you wandered from the property grounds.
For the most part it was okay, had an ugly incident with the hotel night manager 11/12/16 at approx 9pm (look it up) where he DEMANDED I pay $50 to have a friend of a guest go to my room to see the view from the balcony. He said there was a "policy" that any more than 2 guests can not be in the room at a time but when I asked to see the policy he could not produce it. Im assuming he thought thew women were "working girls" and I was highly offended that he made this assumption and expressed to him my displeasure. He refused to back down and demanded I pay the $50. Also the hotel security is rude to guests and Americans in particular. The Casino staff which is attached to the hotel gets annoyed if you dont speak fluent spanish. The Upstairs lounge (which was supposed to be complimentary) was closed for weeks and there was no advanced warning or apology about this. Overall it felt like more like a jail or a place that does not want the business of (assumed) non-spanish speaking Americans than a luxury hotel.

Measures are taken as in every city in the world. In relation to the payment for the young woman who would accompany you, it is part of a security policy for you as a guest and the hotel. Probably when you stayed at the hotel they were doing some maintenance work on the Club Lounge and for this reason could not enjoy their services. Dated, Dirty and small bathroom

Location: This hotel has a very good location, in front of the malecon, you can find restaurants, bars very close by.
We stated in a standard room with a se ea view, room was very clean, which was very good as I had a bad experience with this in a previous stay at a close by hotel. Our biggest dissapoinment was the bathroom, which was extremely small and dated, the shower was so old you could move it around to avoid getting your hair wet, as the hotel does not provide any plastic hair caps, which was an inconvenience. Staff was courteous and friendly, except for a supervisor we saw dressed in black in the restaurant, she passed by many of the tables to ask other couples how was everything, however, never stopped by ours even though she passed closed by several times, just looked at us and continued her way, apparently if you are not blonde with blue eyes your opinion doesn't matter. The breakfast service had a good variety, bread and croissants were delicious. Overall experience was ok, as the rooms looked modern and very clean, but the bathroom looked like it was from a different hotel, dated, bathtub old and moldy and horrible, hard to use shower.

It is a good option.

Pros: Nice view. You can see the cost and it is beautiful
Cons: A few parking. The parking lot was full. I had to park outside.

Excellent hotel with nice and clean rooms.

Pros: The room was nice and clean. The hotel facilities area very good and the breakfast was excellent. The staff members were professional and responsive. I think this good hotel is an excellent option.
Cons: Excellent hotel, I think it is an excellent choice.
Location: This hotel is next to the shore, near the colonial zone and downtown Santo Domingo. It is located near multiple restaurants and monuments.

Nice hotel in front of the sea

Nice hotel but the room haved the minibar close and they didn't put noting like water, soda, etc... If you want Something you need to pay. But after that the hotel it's awesome!!
