Ramona at the Spa, and Lius at the pool

Very nice hotel in pleasant section of town

Pros: Very clean
Cons: More umbrellas at pool
Location: Very convenient to Colonial Zone and to Aquarium.
My visit was from Thursday afternoon until Monday mid-day and all of my experience was very pleasant. The personnel are eager to respond and very cordial and professional.

S.D. HOTEL

Pros: THE CLEANLINESS.
Cons: THE HOTEL COULD PROVIDE GREATER AWARENESS OF ACTIVITIES AND TOURS OUTSIDE THE HOTEL.
Location: THE HOTEL IS LOCATED CLOSE TO THE COLONIAL ZONE AND THE OCEAN FRONT.
HOTEL WAS WELL LOCATED WITH GREAT VIEW OF CARIBBEAN. ROOM WAS CLEAN AND SECURE WITH SOUND PROOFING. STAFF WAS EXTREMELY HELPFUL AND PLEASANT.

Nice hotel, with a good view.

Pros: The location, cleanliness, restaurant, service.
Cons: Change the carpets. Put toiletries every day, serve breakfast,
Location: Good location. close to old town. casinos, not any restaurants close. unless you go eat at the casinos.
At the reception , Fausto & Leymi were very helpful & polite. When we did not like the room they appointed to us , they quickly changed our room, called us if we liked the new one. Plus, they arranged 2 rooms next to each other, so that we'll be close to the other family couple traveling with us. At the desk Yeuri was there whenever we needed any thing. Habram, at the elevators, was always there to hold the door.open for us. The cleaning lady at our 8th floor, was very kind & helpful , she had a smile always to us. Sorry, didn't ask her name.

A room with no view

Pros: Nice staff. Professional.
Cons: There is little shade of you are in the pool area. The little umbrellas do not cover, you burn. Many hotels have large umbrellas that covers you.
Location: There is little to do around the hotels. No other Restaurants around etc.
I asked for a high floor room and I received a room with no view on the third floor overlooking a construction site of the Casino. Hence, my review is accordingly.

Gazcue is located close to the historic center Zona Colonial 10 minutes away walking from the hotel which offers many options of restaurants and bars, it is very known for being a great place to go out and get to know the nightlife of Santo Domingo. Regarding your room not having a great view, we apologize for this inconvenient, we have reviewed our service standards with our staff to prevent situations like this to recur in the future. Very nice hotel in a convenient location.

Pros: Once again, everyone was very friendly and helpful. One of the bellmen Felix was exceptional in his kindness. He is truly a great asset to Sheraton!
Cons: Some of the prices for the snacks and sodas were kind of high for the area. 150+ Pesos for a snickers bar is kind of steep!
Location: Great central location with beautiful view of the ocean. Within walking distance to Colonial Zone for historical tour, shopping & restaurants.
The entire staff was very friendly and accommodating. There was always someone available that spoke English. The room was very clean and comfortable. Room keys were needed to operate the elevator and enter the spa and pool area making it very safe. We were very happy with our choice.
