Convenient Stay in Thira

Posted Aug 30, 2016
We broke our trip to Santorini into two parts and opted to save some money and not stay on the Caldera in Thira. Dream Island hotel is very central and a few minutes walk to the main shops, restaurants and Caldera sunsets. The Hotel decor is impressive and the pool is relaxing. Extra points for a great breakfast each morning. The family who run the business were very helpful. A great place if you want to save some money and sit by a pool.

Little piece of Heaven in Santorini!

Posted Aug 24, 2016
This place is almost perfect! Location is in a prime spot about 3 mins walk into town. (Have to walk on the road which I found a little dangerous). Staff were Amazing from start to finish! Resort facilities were great, clean and modern. Would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone. Thanks for a Wonderful stay in Santorini!

Highly recommended; Tranquil hotel, great pool

Posted Aug 14, 2016
Pros: The service was lovely, the breakfast choice was great and the pool area is beautiful.
Cons: The coffee and the orange juice at breakfast could do with an upgrade :) but that's clutching at straws
Location: The location is quiet, just off the main road between Fira and Firastefani. Go to The Bone restaurant for great food just round the corner!
This was a gem of a hotel. Ideally situated for us -just outside of Fira and close to Firastefani. Quiet to get some wonderful rest and chill out away from the crowds, yet within 10 minutes walk you can be at almost any restaurant/bar you wish.

Calm, cool, refreshing oasis in buy Santorini

Posted Jul 18, 2016
Pros: Almost everything!
Cons: TV shows lacked a station in English. Wifi offered an alternative
Location: All tourist rent a cars, bikes, sail boating offices were withi 10 minutes walk. The Caldera was 10-15 minutes, so amenities are convenient.
Dream Island Hotel is a spacious resort up the hill from the main square in Fira. It has views of the Santorini beachesdeom the pool and cabanas. The rooms are large with well appointed facilities, air conditioning, efficient wifi, king bed, and personal terrace at your entry. The buffet breakfast keeps you going all day, and they offer bar facilities in the reception. It managed by very friendly efficient folk who even gave a lift to the airport when we left,( saving a 40 euro taxi fare).

Well run friendly hotel in a great location

A family run hotel that make you feel very welcome. The cleaners are exceptional; your room is kept immaculate. Good breakfast selection. Easy walking distance to main centre and caldera.

great Location

Posted Oct 8, 2015
Hotel & Staff were great - The hate is not on the Caldera side but literally just 5 mins walk to all the views and the bars/shops. It had big rooms with big bed and overlooking the pool. The morning sunrises were amazing from the terrace. Had tea & coffee in the room with a small fridge so you could buy things and keep cool. The hotel had free wifi all around the place as did all the bars and restaurants. Bus stopped just 2 mins up the road to catch to Oia if you wanted - €1.80 pp per trip great value. Pool was big and lots of loungers - very quite at night and also in the day around the pool which was relaxing away from the hoards of tourists in the main town. Breakfast was complimentary and good selection of hot and cold foods. Great Hotel excellent value.

Good value good position

Posted Sep 13, 2015
Pros: We had a perfect view of the sunset
Cons: Breakfast - a bit more choice
Location: It is very close to Caldera therefore good position
This is a small hotel 5/6 rooms, but it is very close to all the sights, restaurants & shops. It was full but pool area was empty every day so we had the pool to ourselves. The staff were very friendly and treats were left in our room each day. Wine, bread, olives, grapes etc. The downside if any was breakfast as they just supplied you stuff. We ate on the terrace - lovely

perfect location, would highly recommend

Posted Aug 3, 2015
Pros: Everything! Loved the fact there was a shower and changing room for use once you'd checked out.
Cons: Locks on the communal toilets would be nice. In room 7 there's a small window that's been painted over, it still lets in lots of light in the morning.
Location: Close to Fira centre and near the main bus terminal that serves the whole of santorini. Short 5 minute stroll to restaurants ovre looking the caldera.
Lovely friendly hotel. Great facilities. Very very clean. Polite and friendly staff. Huge choice at breakfast. Loved the cabana's around the pool. Lots of sun beds with plenty of shade if needed. Location was within easy walking distance of all the restaurants, bars and shops of Fira but not right in the centre so nice and quiet. Although not looking over the caldera it still had a great view across the island to the sea on the other side. I would stay here again if I came back to santorini, highly recommended.
