Friendly place in fantastic locationPosted Sep 22, 2016
Pros: Friendly owner and staff Fantastic location Excellent value for money
Cons: The shower, but no a big issue
Location: Greek restaurants, bars, cafes and gift shops. Volcanic beach - water not too cold. Watersports. Long walks. Boat rides. Transport around the island.
First of all, a mention about the hosts Nikolas and George (his son). Such nice friendly people, always willing to help and also bringing round free cake etc! The whole experience had a real personal touch. The room we had was the upstairs room. It was spacious and the bed was comfy. Having your own private balcony made it seem a better result for us than if we had one of the downstairs rooms. The only downside was the small shower with temperamental temperature and a shower curtain that sticks to you. But it was plenty powerful and a small price to pay given the great location and price. The location could not be better - it is almost perfectly half way along Perissa beach, so you can walk half a mile either direction and get different bars and restaurants. If you keep walking to the right, you come into Perivosa, another nice resort, so there is plenty of walking to do. The restaurants in Perissa are fabulous (apart from Volcano which is where they try to please the English too much). But the rest serve authentic Greek food with fresh fish platters etc. The bars are relaxed and not too rowdy. People dress up nice on an evening, which my wife in particular liked, as she could wear her long flowy dresses. We hired a car and had trips out to Oia (you have to visit!), Fira and Akintori. We also took the boat ride to Kamari. Overall we had an amazing 7 days in Santorini and staying at Ostria Apartments played a big role in our enjoyment. We will be back next year!

Steps from Black Sand BeachPosted Sep 13, 2016 on Hotels
Hotel is steps away from the Black Sand Beaches of Eastern Santorini. Hotel does not have private parking and free public parking is extremely limited. Luckily, we stayed only for 1 night and were the only guest who had the only parking space available. Bathroom size was adequate, but shower area are too small for an average adult. Air conditioning requires an additional 5 Euros. Hotel.com vague in payment option as we had to pay by cash, not via credit card information taken when booking. Hotel needs to upgrade its WIFI as it is virtually non-existent.

Great beach front placePosted Jul 26, 2016 on Hotels
Our stay was comfortable. We had a nice time in santorini. The hotel was right on a beach. The location was excellent. The only minor drawbacks were that there was a nightly fee for use of the air conditioner and we had to pay in cash only when checking out. We would recommend it though as the price was very reasonable and the location was amazing!

cute budget hotelPosted Aug 4, 2015 on Hotels
Great area, right across from the beach. The only issue was the ac wasn't working which made for a warm night. Everything else was great.

Beach on SantoriniPosted Aug 2, 2015 on Hotels
We loved everything about this place! The apartment was directly across from Perissa Beach which made it very convenient to enjoy the beach. The apwrtment was very clean and had air conditioning, but we didn't need it. It was nice to hear the waves crashing on the beach at night. Nick and his family were very kind and inviting. We wish we had more days to spend on Santorini! Would definitely stay here when we come back.

Ideal location in PerrisaPosted Jul 9, 2015 on Hotels
Perfect location in Perrisa. I felt like I was staying with family. Nick did everything right to ensure we felt comfortable and our stay was perfect. Ideal location for anyone looking for excellent value, comfort and an amazing family run hotel atmosphere.

Nice neighbourhood, but service can be better...Posted Jul 6, 2015 on Hotels
Location is great because you are right across from the beach. Room has a well equipped kitchen for those who would prefer to prepare their own meals. Neighbourhood is nice with lots of small cafes and bars. Service is minimal and owner can be perceived as unfriendly at times.

Great deal in PerissaPosted Jun 19, 2015 on Hotels
We stayed for 5 nights. Our room was on the second floor with a spacious balcony overlooking the sea. The area is really low-key compared to other places on the island, which was great. Nick, the owner, lives on site and is so kind! The only downsides were older beds and a small shower with iffy hot water. We would definitely stay there again. I think this place is a hidden gem for the price.
