Very disappointing
Great location and staff. The bedroom had old stained carpeting, the matteess was old and uncomfortable, the comforter didn't fell clean. The room smelled like fried food the entire time.

This is my second time at the hotel. Unfortunately, this time I had a terrible experience. I know it is not a safe area in Sao Paulo and I always been very careful to walk around. This time, some robbers stole my cell phone across the street after I left the car at the parking lot. So, be always alert when you walk out of the hotel.

Hotel Bourbon Express São Paulo Downtown
Great location and great costumer service. Rooms not too spacious, but very comfortable and quiet. Do not recommend eating from the mini fridge in the rooms, because the drinks and peanuts can cost you more than the room price. Overall, I highly recommend the hotel.

Great Centrally Located Hotel in Downtown Sao Paul
A great hotel, very centrally located (express bus to airport around the corner), local transit (bus/metro). A good value too..highly recommended!

Good Hotel
Always been happy staying at this Hotel. I do ask for rooms away from the front, tends to a little noisy at night. Stayed at least 5 times in the last 2 years while passing thru Sao Paulo. Airport bus only one block away....pass travel easy.

Would stay again!
Convenient, professional and courteous staff. Desk check in staff who helped us knew English, very helpful. Cab ride to airport for 2 of us was $120 Br Reals. Cab to Anhembe Park Convention Center about $22 Br reals total for 2 of us. Great breakfast, nice evening dinner menu options, nice little bar area. We didn't try local bus or metro. Had 5th floor room - no street noise at all. Bedspread a bit tired, nice big shower, great hot water and water pressure. Would stay here again on a business trip.

Luxury in bad part of town
Very nice hotel with very good service. Felt very luxurious even though it is in a run down and rather dodgy part of central Sao Paulo.

Great hotel for visit to downtown Sao Paulo
I needed to stay one night in Sao Paulo and this was very, very nice hotel for very reasonable cost. Hotel looks really nice, service was great, breakfast also. Neighborhood may be bit noisy at night, but it was Friday night in Sao Paulo - and I suspect any downtown hotel will have the same with the usual "downtown problems". Oh, great thing on this hotel? : it is 2 minutes from bus station for buses serving the airport, so it is _very_ conveniently located if you are departing next day, as I did.

Hotel nicer than anything in area
Nice hotel, good service. I have stayed in the area many times before and I have found this place to be the nicest, most comfortable,most efficient and the most "elegant" by far. In fact, the hotel out-classes the whole neighbourhood.

The hotel room was very clean and comfortable and priced well given that it wa during the WC. The location is great, very central and near the subway and airport shuttle allowing for easy transportation. Shopping areas were in walking distance. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

Great hotel, not so great area
I knew of this hotel on my previous trips to Sao Paulo but never stayed there. The hotel was clean great service especially the bellboy named Denilson who spoke English and helped me through some issues. The hotel area is not so good especially at night but I knew this before I booked, I wanted this area. I will stay here again if I will be in the same area

Great hotel in area if you need a place to stay for business. Just not a fancy place. Rooms are clean, a little small but bathrom are shower are great good size and great water pressure. Plenty of hot water and towels etc

Nice hotel in heart of São Paulo
My son and I attended a World Cup game in São Paulo. We stayed two nights at the Bourbon São Paulo Hotel. The hotel is very clean, nicely decorated and maintained and only two block from the Republica metro stop. Breakfast was fine. We also ate one night in the hotel restaurant which was quite nice

I have stayed at this hotel a number of times and the service is always good, as far as Sao Paulo hotels go its also very good value for money. The location shuts me too.

nice hotel, not so nice zone
The hotel is nice, the personal is very kind. Is very close to the Metro Station Republica and have a taxi site right outside, but the neighbourhood is not so nice. Some brazilians told me is also a dangerous place at night.

the hotel is located in the central sao paulo area. the hotel is a older hotel that is still kept in good condition. the clerks are friendly and some of them speak some engish. The hotel has a very nice clean restaurant and the breakfast is always very good. the hotel could use some up to date maintence but overall is a nice hotel. I did have some problem during the hot part of summer keeping the room cool with their cooling system. The neigborhood is some what lacking so be very careful going out during the night.

Business Hotel in a NOT SO Business area!
Eventhough it is called a "Business Hotel" it is certainly not! First of all the area is in the slum areas where at night you can not even leave the hotel without having a local with you. The area is considered dangerous. The rooms were small and cramped, but the house cleaning and the front desk service was great. The breakfast is basic and is always the same day after day. Very bland food. What is really funny is that they have three people in chef's attire come out every couple of minutes a simple stir the bland scrambled eggs and sausages. This was the type of breakfast you would get at Best Western or the Hampton Inn in the USA. I am a business traveler and I expect the basics: consistent Internet service, quick breakfasts and the hotel should be in a business area to call itself a Business Hotel.

I think that the hotel itself appears very nice. The room was mediocre quality, I was given a twin / single bed even though I booked and paid for a double. The neighborhood is kind of sketchy, internet and breakfast not included... I stayed in Moema the next night... Got more for my money, and felt safer.

Close to airport bus and metro. Noisy but ok.
The best thing about the hotel is its proximity to the airport bus as well as the metro. Both just one block away. To the airport in normal trafic just arround 50 minutes buy bus. Its noisy and a bid shaby but for SP its ok, even much more expensive hotels in / close to Av.Paulista are not much better. Rooms are shaby, don't expect luxury. The junior suites are a bid nicer and ok value for money.

Internet ripoff
The hotel used to have free internet. They've now introduced a system whereby you get 6 hours of incredibly throttled access for free, else you have to pay. I checked out and went elsewhere.

O hotel é muito bom, o problema foi o site Hotéis.com não ter informado que o café da manhã não estava incluso. Tive que pagar à parte. Muito ruim isso, o valor não é alto mas me senti enganado pelo site. Com certeza não uso NUNCA mais.

Precisa melhorar
Cheguei com duas horas depois do horário de check-in, aguardei por quase 40 minutos para liberar meu quarto e quando entrei no primeiro estava um cheiro muito forte, solicitei a mudança e fui atendido prontamente porém o segundo quarto também cheira estranho. Creio que é hora de modernizar as instalações, incluindo roupa de cama.

O hotel está muito defazado . O mobiliário e a iluminação são pessimos!!!! O carpet do quarto estava malcheiroso e muito velho . O café da manha e o atendimento dos funcionários foi ótimo . A localização do hotel é péssima

Estadia OK, valeu pelo preço e localização
O principal motivo de me hospedar aqui foi pelo custo bem acessível (quando fiz a reserva). O hotel é razoável, muito bem localizado (ao lado da praça da república) mas as instalações são simples, antigas e precisam de uma reforma. O banheiro é um pouco apertado, e também antigo (tem bidê! Meu deus do céu, quem usa bidê hoje?). O ar condicionado meio barulhento e o meu teve um cheiro meio desagradável no começo, que depois passou. Minha diária não incluiu café da manhã, não sei se é regra, então não posso avaliar. Os funcionários foram educados e prestativos comigo, só não gostei do fato de não permitirem que a gente receba amigos (que eles chamam genericamente de visitas e cobram extra). Voltaria a me hospedar aqui se houver uma boa oferta de preço.
