The property is in an excellent area, near Avenida Paulista. Near museums, public transportation and great restaurants. Great breakfast, wonderful staff.

I really enjoyed my week in Sao Paulo and this Hotel. A lot of places are unsafe in Sao Paulo but the area where the Hotel is located was relatively safe. The hotel was clean the staffs were always kind and ready to help. One thing i didn’t liked about this hotel was that the soundproof facilities were not good enough to prevent the noise from another rooms and a big construction outside the Hotel.

Wifi / internet keeps dropping, you need to install a new main router to be able to handle the demand and inside each room install a router as well to improve wifi signal. Very disappointed with the wifi/internet I was not able to work remotely as I intended and had to use the internet from my iphone, not ideal but worked better than the hotel wifi internet.

My stay was an absolute success. The hotel is not luxurious by any means, but it is very comfortable, very clean, at an amazing location, and the staff was the most cordial, nice and accommodating staff that I have ever encountered. The management must take great care of the staff because everyone working at the hotel and restaurant are always happy and eager to help. My congratulations to the management. I had an amazing experience overall.

All excellent! Perfect location. Safe neighborhood and very close to restaurants and shops. Just a few blocks away to Oscar Freire, a lively street with markets and great shopping.

The room was large. We loved the size. The space on the bathroom countertop was great too. It had a little kitchen that was helpful and a table for us to eat at. The balcony had a lovely view. However, the room wasn't very clean. The dishes in the kitchen were dirty when we pulled them out of the cabinet. The white tile in the shower showed dirt and hairs from previous people who stayed there. In addition, we had an issue with the sink in the kitchen. When you turned it on, the water came out great then just went away, you'd have to turn it up again and again. The breakfast was in the restaurant next door and was a good selection. We appreciated it. It would have been probably better to not be a buffet during covid, but otherwise was good. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

The hotel is perfect for a family setting (and also business). Simple but friendly, up t date and very clean. Unfortunately, there is a new bar in front of it and there is a lot of noise during the night (until 3am).

A front desk assit named mendonca made every possible attempt to dissuade my stay at the hotel. wouldnt honor the online price made me go trhough expedia in front of his desk, inconvinience tryied to tell me that the just made reservation was for an one person only and and wanted to charge a r$69 extra person fee. this person has no clue about quality of customer service makin g the guest jump trhough hoops and being unaccomodating.

Hotel is located extremely close to Av. Paulista and Rua Oscar Freire, both great shopping strips. The area is extemely safe, even at night. Just across Paulista and within walking distance is the area of Bela Vista, great for nightlife, with a large gay community also. The room has everything you could need for your stay, even a microwave if you didn't want to take advantage of the many restaurants around. My room also had a balcony which was great. The only negative was the external "blinds" on the windows. They might make you feel a little clostrophobic but they definitely block out all the light.

Nice place near conference center
This was a nice place to stay for a few days while I was attending a conference. The food options in the immediate area were somewhat limited, but the hotel was a short walk to shopping on Ave Paulista. The staff were very nice and helpful, but spoke very limited English so communicating was somewhat challenging. Overall, a nice hotel and I would stay again.

If you want to stay in a hotel like this, I recommend Massis Five Stars, close by, with bigger rooms, great wifi, location and breakfast included, and cheaper than Matiz.
