Comfortable Hotel in Interesting NeigborhoodPosted Jan 30, 2017
Pros: The hotel is clean, comfortable with a very helpful staff. The neighborhood is full of interesting stores & restaurants, and pleasant to explore.
Cons: The WiFi connection is slow, but you can "rent" a much faster unit at a low price, which is well worth the cost.
Location: The hotel is located in a very nice, safe and interesting neighborhood. There are many tasty restaurants within walking distance as well as two malls
I've stayed there 3 times and explored & enjoyed the neighborhood each time. Lots of interesting shops and very tasty restaurants fill the area. Two different & interesting malls are close by, one well within walking distance. The staff is very polite and helpful with all your needs. The rooms a very comfortable and roomy, and the maid service is excellent.

Nice hotel close to my needsPosted Sep 13, 2016 on Orbitz
Location: Tatuape Shopping Center Mall!!!
Very good experience again with Tryp. I have been in this hotel for couple times and it always a good place to be. The breakfast is the best, the rooms are large, clean, comfortable. The location of this hotel is very accessible specially when you have to be near by the Belenzinho for example.

WiFi ProblemsPosted May 3, 2016 on Hotels
WiFi connection was slow and the Reception was not interested in my compliant! Luckily, most of the surrounding bars / coffee shops near the hotel had free WiFi therefore I completed my online check-in for my flight drinking a Brazilian coffee!

In financial trouble?Posted Apr 30, 2016 on Hotels
Room safe didn't work on arrival, lamps in room didn't work, no restaurant as it is under renovations, AC in room never got below 24C, most of the equipment in the fitness room was "out of order". Staff were friendly and helpful, though.

Not a nice hotelPosted Dec 24, 2015
Cons: It should not be presented as an airport hotel. They should offer options for travellers who just need to spend the day.
Location: Nothing to do!!! Totally isolated.
I was looking for a hotel CLOSE to Guarulhos Airport. This hotel should NOT be presented as an airport hotel. It is at least 25 minutes away. Unfortunately the photos on Expedia are much better than reality. Breakfast was terrible. I arrived at 9:00 a.m. and left at 8:00 p.m. I was forced to pay 2 nights!!! I was not able to get a day pass or a late check-out. I will never come back or recommend this hotel.

ExcellentPosted Jun 11, 2015 on HotelClub
The trip was excellent and the hotel also excellent. Location not bad as the Sao Paulo city is a huge city. Metro station/ super mall are about 1km from the hotel. It's a new building & every facility is fine. Hotel fare is reasonable.

Business trip into Tryp Tataupe Hotel in Sao PauloPosted May 10, 2015 on Hotels
Hotel is nice and services were good. Area is a bit rundown, but if one is smart, there should be no issues when out and about. A/C systems were rather noisy, but worked fine. I would stay here again.

Really let itself go...Posted May 9, 2015 on Hotels
I have stayed at this hotel many times, I visit my son in SP at least every 3 months and use Tryp Tatupe each time. The hotel has been progressively getting worse, in minor ways and I think on this trip it finally crossed the point of good t not so good; in hotel terms that means it's now just 'ok'. Which is a real shame... Because it used to be great. A real joy. Now it's just a run of the mill 'ok' place to stay. And I'm a Melia Rewards member! So I get the preferred service (or used to), get free wifi (well I get the same free wifi that anyone gets, which is 64kb and pretty much useless for anything more than email.) In fact I end up using my international data on my phone to skype. Restaurant menu used to be inviting. Now it's just expensive mediocrity. I had to eat there both nights this trip and both times what I ordered was delivered with an apology for it lacking in half of what was supposed to be in the meal. Breakfast Buffett used to actually be the food highlight of each of my stays as I would usually be taking a morning flight out. But this trip it was hard to get decent coffee... In Brazil. Think I will try another hotel next trip. Shame. I've been a loyal customer of thiers for 8 years.
