Five Star Treatment, Four Star Price

Pros: Great, friendly staff, location, beautiful space.
Cons: The breakfast buffet: A great spread of food but the taste wasn't great. Maybe attempt quality over quantity.
Location: Walking distance (safe) to Paulista Avenue; bars, restaurants, shopping, banks, mass transit
Second time we stayed at this hotel and it was wonderful. We would highly recommend this hotel in Sao Paulo. We had a little issue with our room AC but didn't report it until we left so we can't really say this was a con. We witnessed amazing hospitality and reactivity by who seemed to be management when two customers were discussing an issue in their rooms. The management intervened immediately and asked for their room number. Great reactivity! PROS: location, beautiful hotel, great bar, clean, spacious rooms, friendly staff CONS: breakfast buffet could have been better -- good spread, lacking food quality/taste, paid Wi-Fi (these days?!)

Because I book on Expedia they gave me no view roo

I had to pay for use the gym and the wifi, I think a 5 star hotel shouldn't have carpet on the badroom, make the room smell bad.

Luxury in Sao Paulo

Pros: Location, staff, and room quality.
Cons: The pool was closed and the tile color was an odd brownish red color, not very attractive looking.
Location: Several malls in walking distance, as well as a great park just a few steps away.
Very pleased with my stay at the Tivoli. The location is great, close to shopping, a lovely park, and many restaurants. I felt safe walking around at night. Take Uber for longer trips, very reasonably priced and you can enter in your destination address as the driver likely won't speak much English. All of the staff I encountered were friendly and efficient, with excellent English. We were upgraded to a corner suite room which as amazing. Large and very nicely furnished. I loved the huge shower with rain water shower head. Enroll in their "Discovery" frequent stay program to avoid the WiFi fee (WiFi worked fast too).

Great hotel right in the city

Although pricey, the current exchange rate for sterling meant it was really good value for money. Very nice overall. Only problem was the extras - everything was incidental from the Internet to the coffee and water in your room! Also the gym incurred an extra cost. But Jo surprise for a hotel of its type.

Great Staff, great room, boutique-hotel feel

Cons: Better pool - it's an ok size and the surroundings are ok but because of the color of the pool (orange small tiles?!?!) it looks murky (but it's not).
Location: Visit the MASP and walk on Avenida Paulista
Called the hotel to get early check-in 3 days before arrival. My superior room (spacious, 2 queen beds) was ready when I arrived at about 11am. Spanish restaurant on top floor well worth trying - good food, great view (although only open for dinner, you want to make sure you get up there before sunset). Breakfast was good with an extensive assortment of fruits (ripe and freshly cut every day), few warm items, lots of pastries and an egg/tapioca station. Coffee at breakfast was so-so but coffee pods in the room compensated that. You will want to sign up for the free hotel membership card to get free wi-fi everywhere on the property (very reliable), either on the day of arrival or prior to arriving. Asked for late check-out (2pm instead of 11am) and since my room was not going to be occupied the next day, they granted this request too at no additional charge. Only 2 small negatives: 1/ Weird pool area 2/ Hotel personnel tends to talk between themselves when not occupied, especially by the front/Valet Parking area and in the lobby/concierge desk. I don't mind it too much but it can be a little awkward when you interrupt someone's conversation to get some info (and they answer cordially right away), to have them return to their social conversation as soon as they've answered you...

An American Family First Time in Sao Paulo

Pros: staff and location
Cons: food was poor
Hotel staff were good and room was clean and comfortable. There is a little wear or perhaps a tiny bit of tiredness about the place, but that could be said about almost all of Sao Paulo. Everything was great except the hotel food was not good. Great location, great staff, poor food.
