Good hotel in area with secure parking
3 night stay over the weekend with my colleague for a business trip. My room was in good working order however my colleague had low shower pressure in the bathroom. We contacted the front desk and the woman told us that it was normal which was very strange as my room was perfect and had a good quality shower. There was no check of the room or offer to be moved to another room. Breakfast was ok at best. Deli meats were a little dry and hot food wasn’t particularly appealing.

The hotel is in a good location across from the train station with easy access to food and shopping. Our room was very bright and comfortable for 2. Pretty bathroom with a big shower and lots of space. Comfortable bed, so we slept well. Nice breakfast buffet included with the room.

Nice hotel but did fell we were in a loft space. Hot water took 20 minutes to reach bathroom and never did get very hot.

Good but not great.
I chose this place randomly because it was the start of the Burgundy trail, it had a hammam and sauna and it was off the beaten path. Not sure it was the right choice for us. The spa was great. But the room was disappointing. It was a dark room with a gloomy alley view. The fixtures were modern and cool, but it did not make up for the cheap drywall and musty smell. The service is friendly. The lobby is comfortable and well appointed. Do not eat dinner at the restaurant. Breakfast was fine.

Convenient good quality hotel
Arriving in Chalon sur Saone by train it was very convenient as it's only 100 metres from the station. Nice well equipped modern bedrooms, and a good buffet breakfast (15 Euros extra)

Nice rooms which have been updated recently. Bathrooms are very modern. Parking covenient but cost 7 euros per night.

Amazing stay . Restaurant staff are excellent , (maybe they need more ) . Reception make my stay excellent , I change 3 times of room but on a end thanks to them I find the best room of the hotel . Housekeeping do a very good job every day . The only think is AC not working properly and also the gym is very poor in machine or weight . But for sure I will come back

Very good hotel in a sleepy town. Staff were very nice, room was clean and comfortable but small (which is typical for France). Disappointing that the room did not have a kettle and tea/coffee. Breakfast selection was ok, breads, cheese, sliced meats, cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurts. Only eggs available were boiled and you can boil them yourself to your liking. Selection on the dinner menu was good but I felt taste was only ok, not amazing (however potato dauphinoise tasted fantastic)

Charming hotel in Chalon
The St. George hotel was a quiet peaceful hotel. We were easily able to walk from Chalon train station. Room was comfortable. Reception staff helpful. Breakfast a little pricey. Catholic Church a short walk from hotel. A short distance to ship for river cruise.

A great hotel in Charon ...
We traveled to Charon sur Saone from Paris to participate in a Viking Saone-Rhone cruise. This hotel is perfectly located, A very short walk from the rail road station (you'll see it on your center left as you exit the station). The room was first rate, large with every convenience. Their restaurant is also superb. We had a fantastic meal there. Highly recommended!

Go to Chalon
We only spent one night at your hotel but it was very enjoyable. We had a great dinner in your dining room and came from Paris on the bus so we were very happy with the location. Chalon is a very charming city

a great beginning
We spent the night before our Viking cruise. The location across from the rain station was perfect. Although we arrived after 11 PM, we were served a welcome glass of wine. The room was clean, neat and, most important, cool. We were able to walk a bit in the town before the desk ordered a van to take us and our friends to the ship. We would highly recommend the hotel to any cruise travelers -- or any other tourists.

Great hotel
The hotel is easy access from the TGV. It is a very updated modern hotel with an onsite restaurant. I wouldn't recommend paying for the breakfast as it is barely continental. It was easy to walk around the beautiful city of Chalon. Would recommend this hotel highly.

We were greeted pleasantly and the Receptioniist spoke English very well. The room was bigger and better than we imagined for the money. We had an Express Breakfast for only sixteen euros and parked the car outside as they said the neighhood was safe. Really enjoyed our stay.

We stayed here for one night before a Viking river cruise. The hotel was very nice -- comfortable although not spacious room, excellent and very helpful staff, convenient location, and excellent restaurant.

On arrival we were really happy with this hotel. Big room, wonderfully furnished, clean. The Spa is excellent! However what let it down was the evening and night. Only 2 staff in the restaurant and not that friendly. We were looking forward to the room, but..... Really nice but just too warm inside. The air conditioning in the room blows cold air straight on to the bed, a very simple to fix design fault. Opening the window let in mosquitoes. So e had a choice; be too hot, try to sleep in a gale of cold air or be bitten to death. Frankly we were happy at the end to get up and go home. Pity because it had everything we normally like about hotels.

Spectacular, great value for luxury hotel
Steps from the train station, Gare de Chalone, our check-in was efficient with English and French speaking clerks. Good explanation of facilities, WiFi, spa and restaurant options. Room was exceptionally clean, bathrobes and slippers were welcome after the redeye flight. Great showers and water pressure, climate controls easy to understand. Buffet breakfast includes eggs, cheese, charcuterie, juices, and champagne. Easy walk to bars/coffee shops/restaurants/brassieres. Will definitely stay again!

A great hotel, looks like the room has been recently decorated. Very nice on minor issue, the bed was very firm, a very small point. Excellent service. We had 2 road bikes which they kindly locked in another room. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Booked for a stopover on the way to the S of France. Very smart 'boutiquey' hotel, efficient staff, lovely room, comfortable beds and delicious breakfast (paid for separately). Travelled with 2 small girls and they were comfy in their sofa bed too. Would definitely recommend.
