Good Hotel, but too warm

Posted Apr 7, 2014 on Hotels
Overall, I was pleased with the hotel - especially the free breakfast and all-day access to the tea/juice machines. However, like many older hotels in Japan, it has an "all-building" system where you can only control the speed of the air, not the actual temperature of the air. Specifically, this system's "off" setting doesn't actually stop the flow of air to your room..."off" is more like "extra low," which for the upper floors at least was still much more heat than necessary with warmer spring temperatures. Thankfully, the windows some, but if you have trouble sleeping in too-warm rooms, I'd maybe try requesting a lower-level room.

Free parking a bonus

Posted Mar 5, 2014
This place is a little out of the way but the free parking is good. Beds extremely hard and uncomfortable. Comfort hotel is not a great name for it, but the staff were pleasant and helpful even with their lack of English.

Best value in Sapporo

Posted Apr 2, 2013 on Hotels
Compare to other hotels I have stayed in Sapporo and Osaka. I have to say this one has the best value. All the other hotels were good too, but this one stands out with comfortable room temperature in winter. All the others especially the expensive hotels are too hot and dry at night. Comfort hotel also offers very comfort pillow, I even want to buy one home. No need to say the breakfast is free too. Best value over all! Someone might say the location is not right in the city centre, but for me it's nice and quiet. It's just on the edge of the centre area. Anyway, sapporo is a small place, it's just 10 min walk from susukino station.

Clean, affordable with nice perks

Posted Sep 25, 2012 on Hotels
It's about a 10 minute walk from the nearest subway station, but otherwise, I really liked the Comfort Inn. Staff spoke English well and were very polite. There's free printing, coffee and juice available in the lobby, not to mention breakfast in the morning. The room itself was decent, nothing special, but about par with a typical Japanese business hotel room. A bit more spacious than the ones in Tokyo though.

立地条件が良い。 朝食会場は他同種ホテルに比べ格段に広い。
