Second time in two years I stayed here and liked it for the public bath facilities (and the half bowl vegetarian ramen “midnight snack”. Really liked the location as convenient for many places and the airport bus. Maybe some of the younger staff could be a little bit more friendly and helpful though.
Great location. Comfortable rooms and the inhouse free onsen was amazing. Staff could not speak much english but google translate solved the problems. other than that, comfortable stay, will definitely stay again when back in sapporo.
It was a very satisfactory stay at Dormy Inn as always. Everything is modest but decent. Their Onsen is fine, their breakfast is very nice, staffs are friendly and helpful, and everything was fine. Because of the Covid, it is not as crowded as it used to be.
The onsen is spectacular. A bit of mold on the wooden fixtures in the onsen but that can't be helped. The breakfast buffet and snack ramen is also quite tasty.
The room was cozy and clean, bed was comfortable and the included amenities were all quite great. Location is fantastic, easy to get to and from either the train or the airport.
But like most reviewers here, breakfast really won us over. We didn't get to try the complimentary ramen in the evening (due to full schedules) but we hope to do so next time!
Will definitely come back again. 😊
Staff are not well trained for foreign customers. They speak and explain well to Japanese but not foreign customers. Quite a distance from the nearest metro station. Not recommended for families with young children. Worst thing is no one inform us that we need to prebook for shuttle bus. When we rush to lobby then the staff told us no more seat.

Most of the staff are not good in English and cant really communciate with them well. Onsen is so small and saw lady customers with huge tattoos at the back. Feeling very uncomfortable as i feel they are gangster. Hotel should restrict the customers with tatto to enter the onsen. Free ramen is good for supper. However,it is situated in Tanukikoji No.6 street. Nothing much and we got to walk to street no.4 and 5. Would definitely go for other hotels next time. Most disappointing dormy inn.

The hotel is situated in Tanukikoji shopping street no.6 which is less happening. Around 5mins walk to the nearest subway station. Free ramen and onsen are the plus points for the hotel. Howeve, there are better choices in Tanukikoji street No.4 & 5. Staff english has to be improved.

Decent stay
I am a loyal fan of dormy inn. This was the first time i saw lady with tattoo in onsen area. Her back is full of tattoo and i felt shocked for this. Hopefully hotel can take this serious and do not allow people with tatto to enter hot bath.
My room only has one towel for 2 people a day and one slipper for 2 people as well, one utaka for 2 people. The room sevice should leave 2 towels, 2 slipper, 2 tooth brush, 2 utaka, 2 bottle of water for 2 people. I had to ask front desk for towels, slipper, .....
Excellent accommodations. Great buffet breakfast and friendly staff. Easy access to shopping and many restaurants close by. I highly recommend this hotel.
