Thumbs up to hotel Keihan

Posted Feb 19, 2017 on Hotels
10 minutes mostly sheltered walk from the West exit of JR Sapporo station (you will appreciate this when it is snowing and freezing outside). Room is clean and bed is comfortable. A very well maintain hotel. The staffs are friendly and helpful. Thumbs up!

I booked the mini double room. The room size is small barely able to walk. But the room is clean and the location is great as it is near JR Sapporo Station and there are many shopping malls around there. So eating, grocery, and transportation is easy.

Great breakfast

Room of this hotel is kind of small but the breakfast was very good. Location of the hotel is closed to the JR station, it took about 5 to 8 minutes walking.

Friendly and comfortable hotel for Westerners

Posted Mar 13, 2016 on Hotels
Very comfortable and staff spoke English well enough to make it easy to stay here. There were plenty of English translations throughout the hotel. The room was surprisingly spacious for Japan. Location is quite convenient near the train station. WiFi was free and strong throughout the hotel. Breakfast was included and had a mixture of Japanese and Western food options. I was here on business and my meetings ended early but found there was little to do in the area from a tourist point of view other than shopping. Still a nice little hotel that I'd recommend.

Great Stay

Posted Jun 9, 2015 on Hotels
Hotel in a great location. Takes 4 minutes to walk to Sapporo Station which has a wide variety of shops and restaurants. Twin rooms were small, but very clean. Beds are wider than normal-sized twin beds. Buffet style breakfast was delicious, many Japanese and standard breakfast items.

Economical choice next to JR Sapporo Station

Female, usually stay @ Hiltons. For the price & location, I would stay again. Cons: Room is SMALL. Had two beds. Wall is abt 3 ft from the end of the bed. No safe. Free Laundry but NO instructions in English. Drier has Low heat, took several sessions to dry (small load). Bathroom was small. Pros: Beds were a good size. Free wi-fi. All staff spoke (broken) English. All friendly, helpful & courteous. Clean room. Quiet. Good location. In an 'alley' close to the tracks. My directions: Go out 'Paseo West' exit from inside station (next to where you book JR tickets). 2 ways once you exit (under overpass). 1) Cross, go Rt towards 7eleven, @ light turn Lt, go past McD, cross, turn Lt, above you will see 'Sundai' sign, at next alleyway, turn Rt. 2) Across you will see glass doors w/ 'The Bridge' (green print), cross, go through doors, veer immediately Lt, go down hallway (will see a restaurant & a pub), exit cross to 'Sunkus', go Rt, you will see 'Sundai' business, turn Lt at the alleyway. Snoopy Town & a Disney store are in the station (middle mall). Sapporo is known for corn in the main park. Also Ramen. Go to the 10th floor of the Estas building(?)(East front of the station), section w/ many ramen restaurants that serve different types of ramen from Hokkaido. CASH, best bet for ATMs are at 7elevens, Restrooms are clean, however, many do NOT provide soap or papertowels/hand-driers.
