Good hotel Stayed in a single room which was big enough for one person Up high with a slight view of the mountains Staff were ok, nothing to rave about but no complaints also Location of hotel was very close to the Sapporo train station so good if you are making day trips around Hokkaido but further from the main part of town but good for me. Visit the tourist offices in town rather than relying on the hotel staff if you speak English only as you will receive much better tourist information than the hotel pamphlets. Room was fairly clean but carpet makes it look a bit old and tired Housekeeping was good, changing towels and pjs on a daily basis. I am not sure but it seemed like the bed linen was also changed on a daily basis. One English channel on TV being the BBC so good to catch up on the news

Good location with walkable distance to most of shopping areas and food! The staff is so friendly. The room is clean and tidy. Just a little bit small. Definitely recommend!

Great location, beware of icey walk in winter

Posted Mar 3, 2017 on Hotels
Great location to JR train station. 1 to 2 blocks from the train station (depending which exit you use). But during the winter (late February), Sapporo city itself, sucks for sidewalks. Some places don't shovel so it builds up to literally 0.5-1 ft of ICE (not snow, ICE). So walking on it with luggage was hazardous. Also when we arrived, it must have rained/snowed so the roads were pure ice too (have fun crossing the streets...). Room was good overall. Luggage was able to be left after check out for us to tour around before our train had to leave. Lots of good restaurants in the area (including in the train station). There is a grilled skewer place behind the hotel with a chicken/rooster as its mascot, highly recommend that place. Enough English speaking hosts at hotel to get through everything. Again with all Japanese hotels, bring a 2 prong power bar if you have lots of devices to charge; pretty limited. Wi-fi is good enough.

5 mins reach by foot but small room

Posted Feb 11, 2017 on Hotels
Good location ! only about 2 block away from sapporo train station. You can reach it within 5 mins walk even during snow season. The only con is small room; a standard twin room, which is difficult to find a comfort place for 2 luggages.

Nice.. close to everything

Posted Jan 31, 2017
The location is just great. It is closed to everything. You can take airport train to Sapporo station and walk 5 min. to hotel. The room is, of course considering it is Japan, very small. May be it is ok for 2 people with small bags, however, we were visiting during Winter with thick clothing thus large bags.. There were no room to put two large bags.. Otherwise.. it is comfortable place to stay..
