An older hotel but with bigger rooms, therefore this hotel was able to accommodate 9 of us in 3 triple rooms. Just 2 mins walk to exit 3 of the Odori station. Once in Odori underground station, it is a different world, full of shops and restaurants. The underground walkway is linked to Sapporo Station, pole town(exit to tanukikoji and susukino) aurora town (exit to sapporo tv tower and walk-able to sapporo factory outlet). Good location if you are stranded indoor due to snow.

Pros: see above.
Cons: If only the 2 nearest exits have elevators / escalators (LOL)
Helpful staff. Convenient location (across the road from Odori Park - 1 station away from Sapporo station or a 30-min walk to Sapporo station using the Sapporo ekimae underground walkway (totally sheltered). 2 exits (exit 2 and 3) near to the hotel. Spacious room. We are on the 5th floor and there is a room with vending machine and ice machine. And we even got a origami crane on the pillow! :D

Pros: Great proximity to city attractions and room size. Room was clean. Price for room didn't break the bank.
Cons: Hotel appeared to be an older once elegant property. Carpet looked "tired" and appeared worn at entry door.
Location: Close to Odori Park, JR train station, shopping, TV Tower, government buildings, ferris wheel and restaurants. Easy walk to most sights from hotel.
Hotel was easy to find from Sapporo JR station and close to lots of sights. Staff was very helpful and the hotel room expansive compared to other places stayed. The room was clean and comfortable with expected amenities.

Pros: Very convenient location; big room (twin)
Cons: Bed can be a bit too hard for Westerners and others not used to it
Location: Right on Odori and underground shopping street; minutes to Susukino; walkable to JR Station
Bit surprised at size of hotel (just under 200 rooms) as was expecting sth like Sapporo Grand. That said, everything was excellent. Loved the thoughtful, tranquil design of the room with wooden floor for entrance, partition for wardrobe and bathroom, and a nice and big sitting area. Loved the elegant ambience at breakfast, with very good Chinese rice dumplings, eggs to order, nice coffee and house bubbly. Warning though for those into big buffet spreads breakfast here is not for you.

I've finally found my hotel of choice in Sapporo. The hotel is in the centre of Sapporo, one block away from Parco, Mitsukoshi, and Marui Imai, and a short walk from the Sapporo JR train station and Stellar Place. Friendly staff and spacious rooms make for a great stay. Internet is no charge and there are no fiddly passwords to contend with. If you're staying in Sapporo, look no further than the Hotel Okura - 5/5.

Pros: Travellers take public transport will be convenient.
Cons: Extra charge on parking and car cannot park near the hotel. Key needs to leave to staff for parking. Not convenient to access the car.
We stay one night at this hotel only and the purpose is only for transit. We did not enjoy any of the facilities of the hotel and not much to say on the experience. Anyway, lobby of the hotel is not big and many staff are ready to give help. Though car key needs to leave to staff and cannot leave the car at the front of the hotel, the staff is efficient to ready the car for us in 1-2 minutes.

Pros: Location and price.
Cons: The stale air in the room but you can open the window to let in some fresh air.
Location: Eating and shopping, near tv tower and clock tower.
It is a good experience in a okura named hotel, I stayed in their partner Nikko named hotel before. However, since it is different price range, genre I cannot compare. The bed is a bit hard if you prefer soft bed.

Pros: Good location within walking distance to Idori Park, JR, Susukino, Nijio Ichiba etc. There is a Airport Bus Transfer about 2-3 mins walk from Hotel
Cons: The Hotel and its rooms are old. Perhaps it is time to upgrade.
Location: See above. Including departmental stores Mitsukoshi, Parco and Apple Store.
I stayed for 7 nights. Room is basic but has good size as compared to hotels that I stayed elsewhere in other cities of Japan. Experience was comfortable and room was well cleaned daily. Front Office was helpful and assisted to make dinner reservation at Ishizaki for my birthday celebration.
