very comfortable stay
It was last minutes reservation, however the receptionist managed to find our reservation soonest. She assigned a very nice room, equipped with a massage chair on high floor. We stayed very comfortably. Thank you very much.

Hotel location is perfect. Right in the heart of the city. Bus to and from the airport stops right in front of the hotel. Staff was nice and helpful. A lot of donjbg options and shopping around the area.

Good location with the airport bus at door step
the location is good as the airport bus to the airport is just at the door step but the hotel need to update as its dated and the bed is soft.

The air conditioning doesn't work in my room. On first day, the air blowing out is so small I can barely feel it, the air isn't cool at all. So I went down to complain, using pictures and google translate. The staff tried his best to communicate and write down in kanji for me to understand that they will fix it the next morning when we are out. Next day it work well, but after that it isn't cold anymore and we are sweating in the room. Air flow is very bad and we can't open the windows to make it better. Second thing is the toilet seats button aren't working at all.

First time in Sapporo
My first time in Sapporo. It was close to public transportation and there was a shuttle that goes directly to New Chitose Airport. The staff was ready to answer all questions. The room was not as tight as most Japanese hotels. It was clean and comfortable. Familymart convenient store was attached to the hotel. There are Lawson’s and 7-11 close by for international ATM.

Location is not bad. At the shopping street. 2 street away from underground walkway and donki. There is a family mart just below the hotel. Only got central warmer in winter no air con.

Satisfied. - Staffs are very helpful especially the front reception man from Nepal who speaks good english - Location is good with a few steps walk to shopping arcade, underground shopping ( Pole Town ), underground train stations and can walk all the way underground walk way to Sapporo Station. - Suggest that the room can have more power points or usb ports for charging hand phones. As we stayed as a family, the room do not have enough power points to charge our hand phones. - One of the light bulb on the ceiling was not working. - The bathroom should have another hand railing to hold when want to step out from the bath tub after shower. This is safety Thank you Cheah Malaysia

Convenient Locale
Had a good short stay at the hotel. Really loved the convenience in getting around the shopping areas and more importantly the airport shuttle service stops right across the road from the hotel.

Two of our three rooms had a very strong smell of urine coming from the bathrooms. We went to the staff and asked if they could change rooms or clean the bathroom. All they could do was to promise to clean the bathrooms the next day. It was completely useless, both bathrooms still smelled. We even bought some spray and used it in the bathroom, also useless. Carpet looked dirty, tv and pant press were very dusty as well. This hotel is at a prime location but it is old and not managed well. Time for a complete renovation.

Apart from the location which is very near shopping area, the hotel itself is very old and needs a lot of maintenance. Their staff's English is poor and manner are not very friendly. I found some hair or dirt in the bath tub (i did not bother to examine what it was and I flush it away immediately)..

The Sunroute Hotel is an amazing place to stay in the Sapporo city. It is comfortable to go shopping, eating and whatever you want. I would like to recommend you to stay here if you visit Hokkaido, Sapporo.

For the price, I would find it hard to find a better place. The one real annoyance was that the requested payment from me. I paid through expedia. The lack of being able to speak Japanese didn't help and they finally found it on their machine. That said, you could score a room with a great view of the Ferris Wheel.

Re: review excellent fantastic location, right smack in shopping arcade,. trams, sudway, airport bus, restaurents, tourists inform. centre. Front desk staffs friendly , give maps for destinations. Triple room comfortable & good size. clean sheets, toilets at the corner...but toilet bowl stained needs to give good scrub. Overall Sunroute hotel chain i will always book in Japan

Good hotel overall. Its location is why i chose it since it is an easy 5 minutes walk to the Odori Park. The room was tiny but OK for a solo traveler. The staff were very helpful.
